Actually, this is my 3rd time getting an "A" license. I got it the first time only 6 weeks after joining the service:

In order to progress past the D-Class license levels, you need to complete 4 Time Trials or 4 Races using a D-class car. Here's a forum post that explains it much better than I ever could:

If you want to take it a step further and get creative with different camera angles and such, take a look at:
These instructions will get a replay file, which is viewable by anyone in the service. But if you want to post them n YouTube, then that's another story. For that you need to use some kind of 3rd party screen capture software to record your replay in a video file format. I have not tried it myself.
