Around when does it usually kick back in? I haven't been on GT5 in quite a while now and am starting to get a little antsy! I was kind of thinking that after Labor Day weekend would be a great time to start back up, and give enough time to get a full series in before I move into the new house (supposed to be completed around mid-end of October)

I was thinking about starting it up again after the final races and autoslaloms of the year.

I am getting a bit itchy too. The navy made me miss most of this summers real racing season. Hopefully I can catch the GT5 racing season.

I'm with Jason S. After the end of the slalom and racing season (mid oct) I will be itching to do some online racing. Has there been any good DLC for GT5 lately?

Also I vote for a different night than Thursday as I play in a hockey league that night.

We should be moving in the mid October, first of November area, but we don't have to move our stuff far...the new house is being built 4 feet in front of the mobile we are in now!

I haven't been behind the wheel in GT5 since March or April.
Has anyone been playing regularly? I'm just wondering how rusty I'm going to be come mid-Oct.

I haven't even turned on the PS3 since then. I'm sure there will 8 million updates and it will take me hours to even get into a game lol. Hopefully it still works!

I'm good to go sometime after the Canfield. I would really like another night other than Thursdays though. Wednesdays anyone?

I tried booting up GT5 mid-summer just to get it up-to-date, but the game wouldn't even load. Not sure if my disk is bad or if I have corrupted game save data. 8O

Oh that's not good. I loaded GT5 about a week ago to get the updates installed, but I never turned a wheel.

I think we can all agree Mondays, Fridays and Saturday nights are bad. Wednesdays/Thursdays & Sundays should be ok.
I guess the next choice is one or two nights per week? Maybe a practice night and a competition night?

Hmmm...guess this means I should get the internet reconnected and all the updates for the machines and maybe even put things back together to see if they work. 8O

...sounds like too much work really...maybe I'll just think about it for awhile!!

Let me know what the problem is Scott...I may have a few spare parts kicking around.

I like the practice night - competition night idea. I've only been on a few times this summer, and haven't been in an online race since the first of the FGT races. We should have a low pp series to warm up. Maybe 420-450 range non race modded cars? Just throwing that out there!

The pratice night-race night idea is a nice one. I think we all could do with shaking the rust off to begin with, so i like the idea. Also some low pp would be a good start, always liked hot hatch and "family" sedan racing, tons of fun even if its "slow time"...

As far as availability goes, i am fairly good. Only Thursdays are tricky sometimes for me, so Wed/Sun is my vote but if the general consensus is something else i can do my best.

Ok so two days a week, with one being a practice day.
Practice Wednesday, Race Sunday?

Sounds good to me! Once I get the house done, I'm going to get to working on my race seat. I'll be practicing all the time then! I went on last night and did some of the seasonal events to get back into it. I'm crazy rusty, hehe, and the tire limits of comfort softs doesn't help either!

Was on GT5 turning wheels tonight.... mainly just trying some Seasonal Events (man I've missed a lot).
"martindoom" invited me to his lounge and his crew.

Wow, I'm rusty....

I just grabbed whatever was in my garage that had the closest PP. I doubt I have even driven those cars before.
Either way, I learned I'm very rusty...... missing apex's, too late on the throttle, sliding around too much, etc etc

I'll have to get some practice in before we start again in Oct if I'm going to run at the front of the pack.

Haha Jason. You could also not practice and give someone else a chance to run at the front. :)

You obviously never ran against Paul M. , Varga , Joel ... and that one other guy whose name I forget ;)
It was always a hard fight for a podium position when those guys were racing.

So, if we are all agreed, will we start with a practice night Oct 3 and or 4th, and pick a series then? Or are we all agreed on having a mid 400pp series? Or would a low 500pp racemod series work better? Just throwing out ideas. I just know I'm not knocking off the rust by jumping in to the deep end (FGT's) right away!!

I'd prefer to start up after the Canfield. A bunch of us will still be busy leading up to and during that week.
