Uh oh. For the first time ever, we might actually miss the cut for this race. :(

Review

Our XRR car is very powerful, but big, heavy and clumsy to drive. We are having a very tough time to adapt it to the tight and narrow South City circuit.

Jared went out first on Sunday night and clocked only one lap.... a 1'37.6 before his computer gave out.

On Monday night, I tried a few laptimes to get us in the race and managed a 1'35.70 which at the time was good for the 30th and final spot. But, as we woke up Tuesday morning my time shuffled itself back down the order.

So, with only an hour to go in Pre-Qualifying, Zoltan logged a 1'35.26 to get us closer to the cut, but we did not improve in the order. As of right now, we sit 32nd and looking at a potential DNQ...

Friday at 4pm is proper qualifying, with the 30 qualified teams to set the grid.

For us to make the grid, 2 teams would have to withdraw between now and Saturday at 1pm.

Stay tuned!

SGP, CMR and PlayerZone have just withdrawn

That means the 31st, 32nd and 33rd-placed teams get promoted. In other words, us!

WE'RE RACING!!!!! :D

Due to a serious lack of available drivers, though, Zoltan Gacsi will be racing on saturday with his friend and emergency backup driver Daniel Mihalik.

Only problem is we have inherited a 10-place grid penalty for modifying our 4 "confirmed" drivers after the Wednesday Night deadline (to essentially let Daniel Mihalik take my spot on the list), so we are more than likely starting 30th on the grid. :|

The entire race broadcast.

Race starts at ~5:30 into the clip

In an overall crazy and entertaining race, there was several attempts at a start that resulted in huge shunts. The first 15 minutes were chaotic.

Our race was fairly uneventful, we started 28th and finished 21st.

Enjoy!

Angry Angus Racing is registered with the CIBC Run For The Cure and is raising money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. If we raise $1000, I will paint my kart pink for the CKRA season finale.

Support to this cause is greatly appreciated, donations can be made at:
