At the Digby Double I heard a few members talking about how the date was *possibly* changed, what is the concrete date on this? I am working this event into my plans to go to the Moncton nationals and need to know for sure!

Thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure they changed the next slalom to Saturday July 14th instead of the 15th due to schedualing conflicts.

Excellent question!

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc.

Any of the Organizers care to post a definitive answer to this most intriguing question?

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc.

We certainly don't want to see what happened to the first...

ARMS Regional Time Attack Event #1

Be repeated again!

Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Tic Toc.

Rhetorically speaking, is my post acceptable now?

Taylor is working on the dates and I am sure will have a definitive answer by the Tuesday night meeting.

Instead of posting snarky comments, why don't you email Taylor (who according to the ASCC Website is their Solo Director) or anyone else on the ASCC Executive. http://www.ascc.ca/?page_id=72

Come on you're better than this Derrick. :(

EDIT Just saw Alan's post.
They maybe having issues with securing a parking lot. I'm sure that Taylor will post the sup regs as soon as he's secured a lot.

Jason,
I apologize to all about my snarky comments. I realize this is not an excuse, but I am still upset about the cancellation of the Time Attack, and how it was handled. (No discussion with the participants on how, if possible we could have made it happen.)
The timeline on the announcement of the Time Attack event is eerily being repeated here again for this Autoslalom. I understand the hard work and frustration that the Organizers are going through to make this work. I appreciate yours and Allan’s response in explaining what is going on.
However, saying that Emails or personally contacting ASCC Executives goes against what happened with the Time Attack. As the entire incident hinged entirely, and solely on paying attention to the posting in the Forum, What if one or more competitors don’t read the Forum, and just show up in person at the event with money in hand, wondering where everyone else are?
And yes, I believe I am better than this. Since the Time Attack was cancelled, I and some others went to a Car Show on Sunday to help promote the Clubs, and our Sport.

While I am sure a LOT of time and hard work goes into planning these events, this definitely sure have been worked out sooner. At a bare minimum we should have been kept updated on what is *maybe* happening. Leaving everyone in the dark is no doubt bad for turnout and leaves a lot of people who will attend in a scramble to make arrangements. If this were an event where most competitors would be "locals" it wouldn't be so much of an issue, but most people need to travel I am guessing.

Shooting an email is always an option, but why not just post it on this forum in the first place?

I know I'm a newcomer who really shouldn't be giving people a hard time, but better planning would definitely benefit the sport. I have three friends would are really excited to give this sport a try but now at least 2 are unsure if they can make it due to late information...

Just my two cents...
