Supplemental Regulations for 06-14-2012 AutoSlalom #3 - ASCC Club Event

Location: Scotia Speed World, near Halifax International Airport, Halifax NS

Organizer: Taylor MacArthur
Course Set Up Workforce: ***Volunteers Needed
Timing and Scoring: James Partridge
Registrar: TBD
Chief Scrutineer: TBD
Safety Steward: TBD
Entry Fee: $20.00 (for members of an ARMS-affiliate club).

Schedule:

1600: Gates open. Volunteers are asked to arrive.
1630: Registration and Scrutineering Open.
1730: Registration and Scrutineering Closed.
1735: Drivers meeting.
1740: "Official" course walk/drive.
1800: First car starts.

In order for this to run efficiently, we need to follow this schedule precisely.

Registration will be closed at 1730 on the dot. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Insurance: As required by ARMS, provided by ASN Canada FIA. Waiver to be signed by all persons on-site.

Regulations: This event will be held under the General Competition Rules of ARMS, and the Atlantic Sports Car Club event regulations. This is the 3rd event of the 2012 ASCC club Autoslalom season.

Absolutely no speeding or reckless driving around the site will be tolerated. Driving behavior during the event will be discussed at the drivers meeting

Notes:

The ASCC has SSW rented from 1600-2000. Therefore the schedule as shown above will be STRICTLY enforced.
If we do not have time for every car to run 4 runs, your time will be scored on your first 3 runs.

Run/Work Groups:

All cars must have their competition number and class displayed on both sides of their car for the benefit of the Paddock Marshall and the Timing and Scoring staff.

Cars will be organized into run groups of roughly equal numbers by class. Depending on turn out, all “stock” and “super stock” cars in one group, all “street prepared” and “modified” cars in the other. Cars with more than one driver will be run in the middle and end of each group.

Work groups will be called by the car number of competitors who are required to work. Everyone will work at least once as assigned by the Organizer. Competitors are reminded to report quickly to their workstations in order to ensure quick turn around. Failure to report for work assignment will result in forfeiture of points and any remaining runs. The work assignment list will be available from the Organizer and the Paddock Marshall.

Directions:

-Take Exit 6 off Hwy 102
*North bound 102 take left at top of Ramp and then take a left at end of road.
*South bound 102 straight ahead at Stop sign top of ramp
-Go past Air Flight Museum
-Go past Airport Hotel
-Turn left into large parking lot of Scotia Speed World
-Proceed to the gates to enter the track

I will try my best. This year will be tough for me, as I don't have a set car, and I already cooked a Hoosier at the NBSCC event...

Who are you? Oh, and you are welcome to join the battle for 2nd, with your little "no rust racing" car, but the driver will have rust, old timer 8O

Brian, the only thing you'll be seeing that's rusty, is my starfish.

Of course the starter motor would die on my 330 tonight. I'll be out with the 535 now, can run stock I guess.

We'll push start you, Scott.
After taking a closer look at the shoulders of my tires yesterday, I think I'm actually going to have to run snows (very worn out) today and get a couple extra tires before the next event.

Actually, Trevor had taken FTD from Colin on the last run, so the bar was set, all pressure on me after Joel spun.

And thanks!

Was a lot of fun. Straighter course, but easier to get lost. My fastest run

I also learned from this that I'm not getting full electric power. Have to figure out how to fix that.

My fast time is showing someone else's time. I guess it doesn't really matter though.

It was enjoyable to come out and watch, and see everyone. Now to get out and compete.

Brian P. need a tire warmer?

That course was pretty fun. Nice to stretch the legs on my 328 and almost hit 3rd.

Was it sitting on the ground? I'm thinking it was mine. Zipup, 4 pockets?

I knew I wouldn't be able to compete (time/work restrictions) but I was hoping to get out and be social.
Didn't get home until 8:30... :(

Can't wait for Digby!
You sure you don't wanna run Leon in Digby for 3rd/4th FTDs Brian?
