Good race at the Indy Road Course, despite 3 pitstops, I was still less than 20 seconds behind the leaders at the end of the race. Varga may have won the race but Alek lead the most laps (13).

Finally scored my 1st win tonight, on an oval no less.... I literally coasted across the finish line because I ran out of fuel coming out of the last turn. Thankfully Alek ran out of fuel the lap before, hehe.

It's too bad more people aren't coming out for this. The NASCARs are actually very easy to drive, and work very well on the ovals (go figure).

Can't wait until Thursday night.

With 1 night to go, here are the current standings:
Alek leads by 1pt and there is a 3 way battle for 3rd. Should be good!

Try resetting your router... and don't forget to change your oil before you come back!

Wow guys, that was some of the cleanest, closest racing I've seen in a long time last night.

On the Daytona Road Course, Varga and I were never more than 1-2 seconds away from each other. I thought Varga was running Racing Hards (like I was) but he was actually on Mediums and did a hell of a job stretching the life of those meds to what I was doing with hards.
I think the only time we touched the whole race was when I left the pits and was in Varga's blind spot. After we both stopped spinning neither had damage and we continued racing. Alek wasn't far behind either, going on a different strategy that was working well for him.

During the second race there was a pile up that took out every car in the field, save JB and Alek. Those two raced close and hard for nearly 50 laps before JB took the checkered flag. I'm not sure if he ran out of fuel or not, but I heard some others did on the radio.

Here are the final results for the NASCAR Chase for the ARMS Cup Series:

NASCAR Chase for the ARMS Cup Championship Results

RankNamePSN IDPoints Day 1 Day 2 Day 3
1Jason SMerlinRPM98 28 35 35
2Alek MAMomcilo94 30 33 31
3Robert Ssailor92371 25 23 23
4Scott HS_AND_S70 25 22 23
5Varga Avincentq464 0 35 29
6Jason BRascusfinkus57 23 0 34
7Alex RAlbongo87n00b45 21 24 0
8Steve Pstevedp42 42 0 0
9Trevor Gnd4speed125 0 25 0

*Please note there was a small miscalculation in my earlier table that has since been corrected.

One other special note, if Rob had not have lead that single lap on the High Speed Ring by 0.001 of a second, he would have tied with Harrod. That 0.001 at the right moment was enough to secure 3rd place overall for him. His sponsors should be pleased! :D

I did not run out of fuel, but if the race was half a lap longer, I would have!! I purely did a stratigical race instead of trying to lead all the time. I may not know road course racing well, but I grew up at a circle track. I spent the majority of the race at half to three quarter throttle to save fuel and tires. I was nervous that Alek would have enough tires left to make the end, but I did the whole race adding only 24 litres of fuel at the first stop, and made it with 2 stops, and no damage, which is a first for me!! Not often that I win a race, let alone win a race by almost a full lap!!

In the first race on the road course, my downfall was a bit to much throttle coming out of the little s turn after turn one, dropped a ire and went from 2nd to 2nd last, spun again because of the dirty tires, and then tried to play catch up.

I wish I didn't miss the Indy race, I'm not sure I would have had a good result on the road course, but I know I'm good on the oval!!

In the Daytona Road Course race I was only 1 second behind Varga (on the last lap) when in the 2nd last corner before the straight my back came around me and I lost 1 second just enough to break the draft from his car. I really believe that if I don't slide a bit, I could have passed him on the straight to come in second instead of third.

For the Daytona oval, I knew I had to finish in first place and Jason S. in third just to make the championship a tie. At the end I was thinking about plowing Jason Blanchard into the wall just before the pit entry so that I can pass him for first and him still finishing second. :) But he let me lead the most laps so I played nice. I knew I had to pit 3 times because of my tires, so I had no chance against Jason B.

This series was a lot of fun, lots of close racing.

Well thanks for not doing that, but in case it happens in the future, this will show motive :orglaugh: :orglaugh: :orglaugh:

Michael Schumacher use to take incidents very personally, before he started taking people out on his own. J.B, I was just kidding about taking you out. Hahaha

The only car that I want in the game that still don't have is the 2000 Tommykaira ZZII; if you have an extra car like that and want to send it to me that would be great. If not, then don't worry about it.
