I tried to back up my saved data on PS3 but it appears the system doesn't let me. My saved information on the PS3 is 11GB, so I plugged in my external hard drive, but the system does not pick up the hard drive. It picks up the memory stick but not the hard drive. According to my PS3, the only way to back-up my data is if I do it through the Playstation Store for $49.99 per year. Is there another way of backing up my information for free?

I forgot to mention that my USB stick is 4GB, that's why I wanted to save to my external hard drive. I know Walmart sells 16GB sticks now for $75, will that do the job? (Top Gear is back on Jan. 29th )

The savegame data is under 1mb.... I think mine is 200kb.
Make sure you read that right, 200kb = 0.2mb = 0.0002gb

Therefore go buy the smallest USB thumb drive you can and use it for backup. I heard they are giving 256mb drives away in vending machines, where I don't know.

I have a 2gb stick that I use and that's overkill.

Unless you mean 7.50, they're all a lot cheaper at futureshop, they're $20.00 for 16 Gb, and some 32Gb ones are $40.

Well...that was different...I finally got to win a race and no the rest of the field did not breakdown.

Hey!...Scott M...what happened to you...get stuck on the wrong race system?

Oh yeah...we had some tears last night...Jason S...his pit crew was asleep at the wheel and he had to make a second attempt at getting new tires which cost him the lead in the race.

...and the after race shuffle turned out to be a hoot...gotta get me one of those new GTR's...they are a rocket ships on the pavement!!!

The PS3 was tied up with the rugrat and his guest, so (as you predicted) I stuck to the PC last night.

So how did the points work out for last night? I'm a little confused on how it'll turn out.

Hmmm...well Jason...you and I get a bunch of points for being in 1st place...after that it's open to interpretation.

The same thing happened to me, I pulled in the pits and the car drove right by my pit crew

...but I certainly wasn't in the running for the lead

I'm all for taking the points from the 2 ring races and forgetting about Daytona

I think some of us are not paying their pit crew enough I think we should count the first and second race only, and for the third race only give out points to the people that were not part of the first race.

Wow...the next track, Tokyo Route 246 Reverse , is very hard on tires...gonna be a real pit stop type of race.

Jason S...remember to brief your guys well...and buy them plenty of beer!

Yeah, I was going through a set of softs in 3 laps with the setup I ran last time, did a lot of adjusting, and still haven't really got a good setup for it. I found the tires wouldn't keep any heat by the end of it, and I'd get 3-4 laps into a set of softs before the heated up, but they were 25-35% gone by then. Clubman Stage 5 is going to be a quick race too, I was turning 52's as fast laps and steady 53.2's today, but there is more in the car. Some of you faster guys should be able to hit a lap sub 50's I would think.

More weird issues tonight. We ran the Clubman Stage 5 twice... you were scored on your best result. Harrod and Evans both received 9pts for the two races they tried to connect to.

Congratz to Steve on his win. Coupled with Kevin and Jason B's wins from the other night tire strategy is turning out to play a major role in this series!

I can't remember the last time we had 5 seperate race winners during a series!
