I discovered a computer running elsewhere on my network running bittorrent, upload speed is pretty slim on most DSL connections. My fault.

On the car tuning issues, is someone having tire issues willing to share setup back and forth with me? Nurburgring I was faster at the end than the beginning and had negligible tire wear, I think I may be setting up too well for tire preservation and not well enough for grip.

I may just not be able to drive close enough to the edge of grip also.

My setup wasn't too bad for Nurburgring, unfortunately I changed it a vary little for Laguna and the car became almost undrivable at first until I wore the tires some. (????)

My setup for Laguna Seca:

283 Hp, 745 Kg
Downforce - 15 40
LSD 30-50-30

Ride Height 0 1 (This was just a mistake on my part, supposed to be 0 0)
Spring Rate 8.5 7.5
Damp Ext 5 4
Damp Comp 7 5
swaybars 3 2

Camber 2.0 2.5
Toe -0.05 -0.02

So the differences were -15 ride height front and back along with a little more downforce and a little less power for nurburgring, where I was catching everyone at the end and definitely could have passed two guys if I had another couple corners and hadn't tried that stupid 3 wide pass that caused the last corner wreck.

Paul I can attest that at the 2nd race you were not on my starting list nor were you in view at the start of the race........I saw you at the hairpin @ turn 1

Paul, in fact both times you got hit it was me. At the ring I was following someone else (can't remember who), seen smoke in front of him, and then you kinda appeared out of nowheres and took out my front corner, and I went into the wall. Just a case of not being able to see.

At Laguna I came through the corkscrew and you were around backwards, I took the inside of the next turn to go around you, and you came down onto my front, I didn't think you'd be able to get up to speed so soon as you were pretty much stopped when I went to the inside. I run the bumper cam as is gives me the biggest rearview mirror, and didn't see you until you turned down.

That's how everything played out on my screen anyway, with the variance in internet speeds, it could have played out much different on your screen. I didn't save the replay, I probably should have.

I just bought a new router with DD-WRT installed in it.
I'm going to install DD-WRT on my old WRT54G and use it as an accesspoint/bridge downstairs so that my PS3 and PC are "wired".

FWIW I run the default setup with ballast added to the front to get down to the pp limit. I think it ends up somewhere in the range of 311hp, 780ishkg with a weight distribution at 45/55. Only change I make is to the trnsmission. Car is balanced with a tendancy to throttle oversteer but is very controllable.

Paul I was near you in both races when you had your incident. At the ring you had gone wide on exit at 8?, the one onto the back straight, and were coming back over the rumble strip as I was tracking out. I think we had some side to side contact but I think you were still straight when I was gone.

At Laguna you were parked in the middle of turn 9 when I came down side by side with Jason. There was no where to go and I think we collected a number of cars haha

I have to get the car to be very stable under throttle, as there is very little "easing in" with a controller! I have a lot of work into my setup and have adjusted pretty much everything. But it is stable enough now that I can hammer it out of a turn on Sports Softs and have very little oversteer.

So it was you I was following at the Ring, I couldn't remember. I didn't see Paul until he bounced off you into my path, I hit him before I was able to react, kinda killed my race too!

Just finished updating my home network.
So basically what I have now is two routers. One upstairs and one downstairs. The PS3 is now plugged into the router downstairs. So the theory is the routers are "bridged" together so the PS3 thinks it's "wired" and the two routers should have stronger signal between them.

The true test will be Sunday night.

It took me a few minutes to find where these threads went!! I never scroll this far down, as I don't belong to any of the groups, it's pretty pointless haha.

I put my back out again, so I'll be off work for a while again, so I should have some more practice time on the car, as long as the pills are working!!

Looking forward to seeing what happens when we get going on Autumn Ring Mini, lol. I got into the mid 39's average on the sports softs, but on such a narrow tiny track, I think its going to be the person that can avoid all the inevitable mishaps that will walk away with the checkers tonight!!
