Spoken like someone who has the championship wrapped up... hehe

No seriously it's fine... I was too busy laughing my ass off to care.

FYI

Quote:
The online service of Gran Turismo 5 will undergo maintenance during the following hours:

Start: 12/1/2011 07:00 GMT
Finish: 12/1/2011 11:00 GMT

During the maintenance, it will not be possible to connect to any of the online services.

So that's 3am until 7am our time, IE very early Thursday morning.
There maybe an update, so allow yourselves time to download and install it.

Hmmm...just beating the Miata around the Rome Reverse track to get some laps in...never did run this in reverse before.

I'm in the 118.755 comfortably...room for more me thinks.

That's OK Varga, the descriptions of me getting put off were very short and to the point!!
Car #26 goes to the inside and makes contact with #13 on the exit.
And for what its worth, I never turned in the second time at Suzuka, I was just counter steering to keep from going into the dirt like at Grand Valley.
Not complaining, just saying...

Yes Grand Valley was my fault, I didn't expect to make contact with you, but I did. I thought I could hold the inside line and you'd go a little wide. I certainly didn't expect you to go flying off in the manner you did, I didn't think the contact was much more than trading paint. Watching the replay again it looks like the game physics did a "double tap", which is odd.

Yeah, it was weird, I lost control of the car completely, and have been hit harder with less result before!! Meh, it's just racing, and virtual paint is easy to fix haha

New PSN update. 4.0
You have to update or you can't login online.

I can't even download it right now... servers must be overloaded.

EDIT

Just finished. Took about 5-10mins

Got the download completed....got the car all shined up and ready to go and a slight change to the set up just to make things interesting.

Sooooo...what's on the list of tracks to abuse those Nascars on...maybe the go kart track!

It sure would be nice to drive on the AMP track...need to look into that again.

Yea I'm going to miss the Miata.
It may not be the fastest but it's been some of the most fun racing I've had online.

Looking forward to the Lotus, aprox the same weight but 50% more power and the engine is in the right place for a race car ;)

I did some practice last night. Got down to a 1:19.2 @ Rome and 1:10.7 @ Eiger. Then my load sensor brake pedal died, so I spent the rest of the evening troubleshooting and ultimately putting the original G25 parts back in. :(

Me thinks Eiger is going to be a handful with multiple cars trying to get around those tight turns...can't wait!! :P

My car should be able to keep up with everyone else...the question is can I drive it well enough for long enough to show that it can?? :?

Well, even with the bugs at the first before we got racing, I had my best night ever to finish out the season!! Had a blast with the little Miata, and I'm looking forward to the Lotus racing tomorrow night!
