I've decided to limit the "low grip" surfaces to one track per night.
That requires changing tonight and Thursday.

Course changes for the series:

March 6th - 8pm
Autumn Ring - 10 Laps - Racing Hard (Removed Madrid Mini)
Circuito de Madrid - 10 Laps - Racing Hard
Chamonix West - 5 Laps- Snow (Removed Chamonix Mini)
Daytona Road - 5 Laps - Racing Hard (Removed Chamonix)

March 10th - 8pm
Fuji GT - 8 Laps - Racing Hard (Removed Eiger NordWand W Trail)
Eiger NordWand Short Track - 8 Laps - Racing Hard
Eiger NordWand K Trail - 3 Laps - Dirt
Circuit de la Sarthe - 3 Laps - Racing Hard (Removed Eiger NordWand G Trail)

Here are the results after tonight's battles...
Only 3 of the 4 races were scored, due to 2 or more disconnects during the Madrid race.

Varga remains the in lead with a comfortable 13 point gap to Paul in 2nd place. Only four points separate 2nd and 4th place.

Another close battle between 5th - 8th with only 5 points separating 5 drivers.

There's a couple PSN ID's I saw last night that are not in your points list... I didn't recognize them, so I couldn't tell you who they were...

I did a lot of messing with the setup on the EVO and I think I have it figured out a bit better.
Its still understeers, but much less, I just could not drive it as it was with all that understeer, it makes me rage.

You're right.... there must be an error in my spread sheet.
I'll fix and repost. (EDIT: Fixed)

Sorry Ming, the rule is if one person drops we'll call that a mechanical failure.
Two or more and there are connection issues.

I'm going to have to practice the soft surface some, I'd never driven on it that long without getting frustrated and quitting. I think I was actually mid-pack for that one.

BTW, I'm Viich, #32 in an STI. And yes, it was me whose baby woke up during the last race.

Oh, I knew the moment you vanished from my rear-view mirror the results were going to be dropped (I noticed someone else dropped earlier in the race). Somehow, I managed to escape that train-wreck at the first hairpin unscathed and I doubt I'd ever be able to pull that off again.

I think that whole wreck was started by me getting excited about passing someone and missing my brake point. I know I hit a wall and then got hit by at least eleventy-dozen other cars.

Varga was kind enough to send me some shots from the first corner incident at Madrid.

Here we see Steve, Craig and Jay in the wall, while Alek's Evo and Trevor's STi seem to make it through.
Image

Here Taylor joins the party.
Image
Image

Here Taylor's rear end starts to lift, I try to squeeze by Craig and in front of Jay (who's reversing).
Image

Thanks to #66 (who was that) Taylor and Craig are now airborne.
Image

Taylor's back on the ground but Craig's still going up....
Image

Rumor is Craig's going to be sponsored by Red Bull next race.

Joel and Varga are now tied in points due to Varga's "mechanical" issue for one race. However Varga remains in 1st with more victories.
Paul drops back from 2nd to 3rd and I remain in 4th two points behind Paul.

Jay drops from 5th to 8th however there's only a 10pt spread from 5th to 9th, so it's a very close battle.
Trevor has his best night ever with two 3rd place finishes.
Ming equals his best finish to date, 4th place, and this time it's scored, allowing him to jump to 5th place overall.

Sadly Taylor was disconnected before the first race due to local internet issues.

15pts separate the top 4 positions and as we saw last night even a comfortable lead can be lost if you get disconnected for even one race.
An even tighter battle exists between 5th and 9th with only 10pts separating those positions.
With one more evening left in this series it's anyone's game.

Looks like we're aiming for 6pm tonight for at least one race.

Also I currently have more votes for PP than HP/KG.

We had a 21 lap race last night. After 21 laps (32mins) Varga beat me by 0.92 seconds.

Aiming for a 30 lap race tonight starting at 7pm.

The AWD Arch Rival Championship is over.

Varga defends his title!
Joel in second. Myself in third, but only because Paul missed the first two races this evening.

Alek has a strong 5th place finish with Ming only 1pt behind him.
Trevor in 7th with Jay 2pts behind him and McIntyre (despite missing the first evening) picks up 9th only a handful of points away from 7th & 8th.

Too lazy/tired to update the points table above... so here they are in raw format:

1 vincentq4 256
2 joelnelson 240
3 MerlinRPM 222
4 turbined 204
5 AMomcilo 152
6 Azrielx 151
7 nd4speed1 133
8 FormulaFunRacing 131
9 Mr_4G63T 125
10 stevedp 109
11 TMac_71 86
12 Viich 45
13 S_AND_S 25
14 s3th10u5 24

Thanks again to everyone that came out.
Varga will be organizing the first two "March Madness" events as I will be away (Cayman Islands). However I believe you'll still be using my lounge (MerlinRPM), unless Varga says otherwise.
