Yep, going with draft 2. The server should be set up for next week. Note we will be going with the official GT3 series cars (despite my whinging about wanting to drive the RUF).

BTW for anyone that has let their subscription expire there is a promo to renew at %25 off until Sept 15 (see below). I was planning on getting a 3 month and then that should get me to the black Friday sale in November (which has been 50% off 1 years subs for the past few years), or a boxing week deal.

Quote:
1-Month Renewal is now only $9.75
use promotion code
PR-LAPSED251

3-Month Renewal is now only $24.75
use promotion code
PR-LAPSED253

1-Year Renewal is now only $82.50
use promotion code
PR-LAPSED2512

2-Year Renewal is now only $149.25
use promotion code
PR-LAPSED2524

Act fast as this offer expires September 15, 2016.

I'm already ahead of last years pace, I went down last night and dusted off the pc and wheel for the first time in months. Got the Windows 10 upgrade done, got the iracing updates installed, got the cars and tracks needed, but unfortunately wasn't able to install a better driver. Renault is a pretty good car, very forgiving. although I might be 10 seconds off the pace and thats why it feels so easy haha.

Ok.... All set. FR2.0, BMW Z4 GT3... All the tracks including Le Mans. New homemade racing rig with triple monitors and a decent used wheel (Logitech G25). I'm all ready to suck really bad at iRacing for another regulars season but at least I'll be doing it in style and comfort.

I'm excited... :D

Were you using the default iracing setup Steve? Tried the FR2 last night and it was stuck to the track with the default setup. Then tried a couple setups from setupsync and went about 2 seconds faster. Expect these had a lot less downforce as didn't stick as well in the corners, and couldn't get away with bouncing it over the curbs but were much faster on the straights. The one I settled on was by Eliseo Ledesma Lopez 16S3 for Road Atlanta (there was one by Thomas Jordan that also fairly good).

It was default. I only did about 10-12 laps just to make sure my pc was ready and relearning the track. Top of the hill after turn one always catches me out when I haven't played it for a while. I'll look into the shared setups tonight.

It was good to be back
Results for the FR2 series can be found at
http://www.danlisa.com/scoring/season_s ... on_id=5784

Congrats to Scott on the wins. I think he was one of the few people that didn't have problems in the first race. I got that out of the way early by spinning at the connector road on the first lap. Had some fun with Tom and Randy who were having a good fight early on. Made a few more mistakes including another spin but somehow still ended up on the podium.

The second race was much more composed. Kept Scott in sight for a few laps but he opened up the gap each lap. Don't seem to get much of a tow in these cars. ;-) John was keeping Ryan busy behind me so just had to focus on putting in clean laps. Didn't look at the weather for each race but was running about a second faster in race 2.

BTW I did try the setup Scott posted and it was likely faster but was a bit unsteady so stuck with the one I pulled off setup sync.

GT3 cars at Road Atlanta next week, then off to VIR.

I think those race results are backwards, Ken. I finished a lap down in the first race because I was a dummy and understeered off the esses

Anyone try the new IMSA cars? Think we should re-visit the series and add one?
They look like fun.

I haven't tried the new imsa cars yet. Might be fun to give them a try at one of the fun runs and consider them for the winter season..

Road Atlanta GT resulted can be found at

Congrats to John and Scott on the wins. Sorry missed it last night. Almost got back in time for the second round, but just missed the end of
qualifying.

FR2 VIR results posted. Congrats to Scott and Trevor on the wins. Good to see Greg and Jay back out with us.

Thought there was going to be a good battle up front between Scott and Trevor for the first race, but Trevor disappeared at the end of the back straight on the first lap. I was trying to keep Scott honest after that while keeping an eye on Art and then Greg in the mirrors. Towards the end both Scott and I had a few small issues which allowed Greg to close in so we crossed the line covered by less than 2 seconds.

The weather turned from cool and overcast to warm and sunny for the second heat which reduced grip a bit. Trevor led from pole and never looked back. It was Scott's turn to disappear at the end of the straight this time. Art an I traded places in the opening laps and then he was large in my mirrors for most of the race, and I think Greg was doing the same for him. At some point both of them dropped back allowing Scott to cruise back by me.

Should be fun running the GT3 cars here next week.
