We have a couple of large dogs that we've lost babysitters for, that wouldn't do very good cooped up in the Slemon motel (not to mention the extra $100+ fee) or the no-shade conditions at the airstrip

Anybody know of some nice cabins or something where the extended family of ours and fido's could relax in the shade, go for swim, and generally be more comfortable ...while the rest of us compete at Slemon?

Thanks
Stacy

Try AirBNB? We stayed at a really nice place near by for Slemon a couple years ago from there. I'd imagine PEI must be lousy with them.

Taking wife/son along this year and we're staying 35 minutes away at the Shining Waters Cottages up in Cavendish. It's got a "shining water" pool!

Found a spot that while not on a lake is quite nice ...and most importantly takes dogs

So before I cancel my two rooms at Slemon Hotel feel free to pm me (if somebody was on a waiting list or something) and we can see about getting it transferred into their name?

..or if you don't mind traveling a bit AND don't have dogs (which unfortuantely we did) have a look at this place that can sleep 7 for $121/night:
