Hey everyone.

I'm looking to plan my season around the events that will be offered for 2016.

Being new to the AMP schedule, I'm unsure of what scheduled events are available to me.

I see AFRA lapping, MHPDC track days, SARL track days, and the ARMS time attack.

Are all of these open to any competitors, or are additional club memberships required?

There are also some school options.

I currently have my lapping and TA license.

I plan on coming to NS for the Oct 1-2 TA, but I would also like to plan an earlier trip. It doesn't seem there are any other double headers other than the TA in October, so I am hoping to perhaps run two weekends in a row, with some site seeing around NS area to fill up the week.

Any input would be great.

The main thing I'm looking for is track seat time. Being from another province away, requiring an expensive 12 hour ferry ride, I'm trying to best plan the most bang for buck driving per trip.

- AFRA track days are open to anyone with a lapping license
- MHPDC track days are open to MHPDC members, have a look at their website maritimehpdc.ca/
- SARL track days are for the motorcycle gang
- as usual, time attack is open to anyone with the appropriate license

The bmw and porsche schools are two day events. Ascc school is a one day thing, but you get lots of seat time. I do them all every year as i like the people and structure. The porsche school is only open to porsche owners however.

I just noticed that all the single day lapping until sept overlap with regional slaloms or nationals

I know the AMP schedule got screwed this year because of various things, but will there be a plan in 2017 to have lapping days on the saturday of each race weekend? I see that that was done for the last 2 race weekends this year. It's gonna be a long 3 months.

It was supposed to be for June and July too but due to the schedule change it got squashed. But then again most people would be in Quebec for July anyways.

Only the sept race weekend has lapping on sat. Aug is our regional Autoslalom at AMP.

I'm going to bump this thread with a question.

Does anyone have any info about the upcoming AFRA lapping day on Friday? I'm interested in attending as i've recently acquired my lapping licence. I just want to confirm that this is going ahead as i'll need to book a hotel to stay in the area the night before. I'm also wondering if it is possible for someone without a lapping licence to attend the event. I have a friend who is interested in participating but could not make the track school in May. I've sent emails with inquiries through the AFRA website with no response so i'm hoping someone here can chime in with some information.

^ Your best bet would be to contact Lucas Strakerjan directly (lucas@kartbahn.ca) as he is the head of AFFRA.

He is a busy guy, but he should get back to you with time to spare.

The first AFRA lapping day for 2016 will be held on July 1st (this Friday!). You can pre-register (and save $50) directly on the AFRA site.

8am - Track will be open for registration, waivers, and tech forms.
9:40am - Drivers meeting
10am to 12pm - Morning sessions
12pm to 1pm - Lunch
1pm to 4pm - Afternoon sessions.

Just double checking but I can show up with a Lapping license renewal form and $20 and be taken care of on site correct? I pre-paid the $100 last night but not sure if there's an online license renewal so thought I would do it there tomorrow.

Remi stopped by the MMSC autoslalom yesterday to renew his membership. He was planning on going to the AFRA lapping day tomorrow. I'm thinking he probably hasn't renewed his license either.

He's in the same boat as me. I talked to Pidge and we got it straightened out. Well, sort of. Basically should have done this a couple weeks ago but last minute decisions!
