Supplemental Regulations for May 14th, 2016 ASCC Club Autoslalom event #1

Location: Stoneridge Fellowship, 85 Temple Terrace, Sackville, NS
Organizer: ASCC Solo committee
Course Set Up Workforce: ***Volunteers Needed
Timing and Scoring: James, Charlotte, Cathy Partridge, and Krista Barron
Registrar: Charlotte, Cathy Partridge and Krista Barron
Chief Scrutineer: TBD
Safety Steward: TBD
Entry Fee: $20.00 (for members of an ARMS-affiliate club).

Schedule:
0800: Volunteers are asked to arrive.
0830: Registration and Scrutineering Open.
1015: Registration and Scrutineering Closed.
1035: Drivers meeting.
1040: "Official" course walk.
1100: First car starts.

We will try and have a 45MIN lunch after the first run group ends. If we are behind on time, we may shorten or skip the lunch break.
Insure you bring liquids, food, and extra/appropriate clothing. Lets hope we need sunblock for this event as well.

Insurance: As required by ARMS, provided by ASN Canada FIA. Waiver to be signed by all persons on-site.

Regulations: This event will be held under the General Competition Rules of ARMS, and the Atlantic Sports Car Club event regulations. All competitors must be present for the Drivers meeting. If you can not make it, contact me prior. This is the 1st event of the 2016 ASCC club Autoslalom season.

Notes: Absolutely no speeding or reckless driving around the site will be tolerated. Driving behavior during the event will be discussed at the drivers meeting
We need to really watch this part. There are a lot of marks being left at the church by other people. We will be taking photos before and after each event. If we find out people in the club are there after or before our event leaving marks we will BAN you for the year. The church has brought the burnouts and such forth to our attention and we informed them we are not leaving them, nor are the people in our club. Just remember this is our only parking lot that is local.

CAR NUMBER AND CLASS IS REQUIRED ON BOTH SIDES OF YOUR VEHICLE AND MUST BE LEGIBLE FROM A DISTANCE.

Run/Work Groups: Will be done after registration closes. All cars in the same class will run together, and groups will be split as evenly as possible.
Work groups will be called by the car number of competitors who are required to work. Everyone will work at least once as assigned by the Organizer. Competitors are reminded to report quickly to their workstations in order to ensure quick turn around. Failure to report for work assignment will result in forfeiture of points and any remaining runs. The work assignment list will be available from the Organizer and the Paddock Marshall.

Note- 2016 ASCC Autoslalom series following the ARMS classing and points system.

Classing can be found here.
http://www.asncanada.com/wp-content/upl ... -Feb13.pdf

Please try and class your car prior to the event. We understand it can be a bit difficult to understand at first and will help as much as possible on site to get everyone class right. It is the JOB of the competitors to police themselves. We do not check each car for class legality. If you feel someone is cheating or just incorrectly classed, ask them and if they do not change or explain, protest. But make sure you understand the protest before you protest.

Is it practical to run 4 people per car (2 per run group)?

You would need 4 different numbers clearly visible on the car and all participants have to work when they are not running. Other than that we could likely accommodate that setup for local slaloms. In Regional slaloms rules are different in that the same class all run in the same run group so they can only do 2 drivers per car per class. You may would have to "bump up" to the next higher class for your car for the other 2 drivers but this would be at the discretion of the organizer.

Sooooooo, might be a wet event. Bring extra socks and a good rain jacket and umbrella. Ill be putting my street tires on tonight. Maybe that will keep the rain away tomorrow. See everyone in the AM.

Thanks to everyone who came out. Was a great first event, even with the rain. Really happy to see so many new faces. Makes we worry how many we will get at a dry event. lol. Should have the results posted soon. Congrats to Steve P for a PAX win first time out with the new car. The Sackville lot really plays favor to small cars, and street tire classes. See how things change when we go to AMP and Digby. Hope everyone enjoyed the change in the first side of the lot. I think it made a pretty good setup. was a bit quick, but with 55 cars, that wasnt a bad thing on our side.
