Slightly faster on the #15 as it's four lane till past Shediac ...but once you hit single lane it stays that way all the way to Summerside and just takes one farmer Jed and his wife in their camper van to hold the whole works up :?

From the traffic circle on during the long weekend is a game of peek-a-boo trying to pass ...and usually gets you no farther ahead

Stacy

I almost always take the 15. It's really hard to pass on 16, so I usually don't bother trying if it's busy.

thanks for the heads up, I figure that i'ma hit that area around 10-11 at night on Thursday,

can I rightly assume there won't be much traffic there at those times?

in which case take the 15?

Kevin, that is awesome! Was that for the pin design that the organisers didn't want?

You can only pre-book if you are going round trip or coming back. But if you miss the 8am you can drive around and arrive at about the same time.

I'm planning on doing an in-car time lapse of the entire trip, and will try and set it up with a view of the event during my working time.

There aren't moose on the Island, just deer. But all of NB has both. And probably QC once you get past Montreal. Oh, and watch out for beaver on the Island http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-edward-island/beaver-blamed-when-tree-strikes-car-on-highway-1.2721282

For those planning on taking a ferry crossing from Caribou, call ahead... They're down to ONE boat until further notice! My 2:45pm reserved crossing is now at 4:30....

No luck sourcing a lens, but I'll still see what nonsense I can come up with via video.

This might be a dumb question, but as a new guy I don't know.
I had a last minute mechanical failure that I can't fix it time for nationals. I pre-registered in GS but have a replacement vehicle that would be in FS. Just wondering if it's not too late to switch up the registration?

I suspect you would be allowed to change classes, but Ming should answer that to make sure.
Dave

Yes, you can change your vehicle and class when you check-in.

Failing scruteneering sucks! On the plus side I got to drive the dwarf car!
I was just wondering of anyone with a car in street or street-r would be willing to let me co-drive tomorrow. I'm hoping to gain some more points towards the regional championship, since I pretty much have no chance at nationals.
The offer for a case of synthetic oil or a case of beer still stands if anyone wants to offer a car.

I don't see them anywhere either Mell. I always check the link in the first post of this thread. The results were supposed to have been live online but nobody I talked to could get it to work. Bummer. Ming will likely post them soon enough but he had a busy weekend. I just got home a little bit ago. And, I got beat in my own car, by 2 tenths today.
Leon got 7th and 10th overall pax this weekend. 20th raw time.
And, one more thing, Subarus suck! Well, competing against Subarus sucks! And Type R's too. :P :orglaugh:
For my first time back in 3 years I had fun. There were issues but overall it was fun. :D

And a special thanks to Brian for letting me drive Leon the Neon! It's a great car, even if it is FWD :)
