Videos of Bob, Dev, and Kelvin from Sunday:

I didn't figure out how to get the camera working until Bob's third video. The image quality is better if you download instead of stream. Damn Dev is fast.

On this run, I stopped to say HI to one of the course workers. ;)

Thank you to Joel & Jason & the Partridges & everyone else who helped to put on this great event!

Thanks again everybody. This was another great event. Hot, but not too hot.
Here's my best run from Day 2

Edit:
Added best from day 1

The course from Day 2 looks a lot simpler (and more fun). Sorry I missed it.

Day 1 was sensory overload due to the cone density. Probably would have helped if I walked the course more than once though. :P

If day 2 had not had the sharp right at the finish, I'd have preferred it. Day 1 the way it was when I walked it looked best though.

I enjoyed both, but Saturday's course was probably my favorite course at this event since I've been going.

Scott, how did you get the throttle/rpm readings on your lap timer?

@ Shawn. That data would be coming from the OBD II port. I use the GoPoint Bluetooth OBDII dongle. It works very well with the Bluetooth connection.

The exact model I use is the BT1A:

I also use the Dash Command app when driving around. You can pull up some relevant tuning channels.

I bought this $40 wifi OBD2 dongle from eBay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/281294987496

There are Bluetooth dongles for even cheaper if you have an Android device, like $10 or so. But since I have an Apple device, Bluetooth compatibility is very limited. Wifi works great though!

Next I want to try picture-in-picture with my iPod Touch recording the driver, and my iPhone recording out the front of the car. Harry's LapTimer can control & sync them both. It's a really cool piece of software! It produces all kinds the data charts / graphs / traces and lap comparison overlays for analysis, if you're into that kinda stuff.

I didn't read Scott's post in time so I've got an unneeded Bluetooth ODB2 dongle coming in the mail. It'll take a few weeks to get here but it's free for anyone who wants it. Spoken for

Ray and I tried his OBD II in my car on our way to Devens a couple weeks ago, I think it was the same one that you posted, Craig. I'll have to look into getting one.

Thanks to everyone who helped out to make this great weekend. Great weather, and great course design both days!

I agree with Luc, day one was by far the better flowing course.

Video from day 1 where i blew by the lane changes. Thought the run was going fairly well up until then, other than the first turn...

Finally got the registration to work for me...

First off, thanks to all the awesome volunteers for making this weekend a ton of fun. I agree with the above commenters about Saturdays course being really fun. It may have been slightly fast for my level of experience, but every likes to watch a car spin out, right?

Here's the video of my exciting offroading adventure. There's a few other videos from the weekend on my channel from the Legacy and the coal-fired Jetta if you wish to see them...

Not my quickest, but certainly my most eventful.
Also another Helmet Cam view.

What a great weekend. Sunny and hot as usual. Day 1 course was definitely a favorite for me so far. Aside from the initial timing issues the weekend went smooth. Thanks to all the organizers and everyone else who made this a success.

Here is a little edit I put together from the weekend. I didn't take many clips so it is mostly of me but there are a few others in there.

I'm sure Pidge will post them when he gets a chance and/or he's sent them to Ming for director approval.

And no, I do not have a copy of the results.

Pidge sent the results to me. Had computer issues last week so haven't gotten around to them yet. Try to find some time later today.
