Do you know how PAX factors work?
Basically there's a handicap associated with each class (ie H-Street, B-Street, C-Prepared, STX, etc etc) that accounts for the potential performance of the vehicles built for that class. Using the PAX factor handicaps, you can theoretically tell whether a driver in one class performed better than a driver in a different class.
This year, instead of looking at every single class individually, and having 40+ potential "class winners", we're looking at the classes in appropriate groups and using the PAX factors to compare the drivers within each group.
Long story short, in the first event you weren't just compared to the other drivers in H-Street. You were compared to the all the drivers in all the street classes (SS/AS/BS/CS/DS/ES/FS/GS/HS).
Including the handicapping (which benefits you relative to everyone else), you were found to be in 5th (?) place within that group, so you were given 9 points for the event.
This is correct, but only towards ARMS championship points.
