I would be in for paying for the school if there was some benefit over having ride-alongs for the rest of the T&T.

Anyone and everyone can come with me. I also welcome others to try the FR-S out as well (some previous AutoX experience required :P)

Hi everyone; I saw your kijiji ad and tried to reply but the send button would not work? I was wondering if you have had much interest so far in the school. I have thought about trying these events for years and as of yet have not. I would like to come out on May 3rd if the school goes. I have two DOT helmets dated 2009, one open faced, one closed. Would these be ok to use? Thanks, Scott

They need to be Snell rated (M or SA). Helmets that are DOT alone aren't sufficient. Loaner helmets are available on site.

Am I correct in thinking that if they were Snell approved it would be glaringly obvious on the helmet somewhere?

Not necessarily glaring but there will be a label inside on the shell somewhere. It can actually be pretty hard to find someones. I had an HJC helmet that always took me 5 minutes to find the tag every time I had to show it.

It would look like this:

This is one of mine. THH T 792. It says here that it is Snell approved but I can't see any sticker. Also I thought they were both 2009 but this one is dated 2000.

Keep digging, it may be in there somewhere in an inconvenient place. Snell certifications are only updated every 5 years. 2000, 2005 and 2010.

So I've had 5 replies to the kijiji ad so far. None have confirmed, but I'm hopeful. Almost 100 views so far too.

I've got my front suspension all done, now to get the rear done. And based maybe some new front calipers  That piston is looking a bit rusty/crumbly.

I've got 328is fronts, if you want one let me know and I'll grab it from storage. They're ugly but they were brand new in 2010.

Thanks Scott. I should just give you my wallet at this point.

Hey everybody, if you are on a forum and want to hype up the autocross school, that'd be great. Just tell people to search kijiji for ASCC for info, or link this thread. I was debating going onto all the local forums, but nobody likes the guy with 1 post spamming things up. Lets see how many people we can get out this year.

I tried to reply to your kijiji ad but for some reason I can't reply to any ads lately. I am interested in the school and I have been talking to a co-worker about it who might also be interested. If the school goes I will attend.

There, got the car back together and running. That power steering fluid looked like... I dunno what, but it didn't look like ATF anymore. Last thing to do is bleed the brakes, but I can do that after the school (before the HPDS). Time for a shakedown run today.

Oh yeah, need to get the tires mounted. Almost forgot.

Can we Prepay and register early for the T&T? I'm going to be tight for time Saturday morning and it would be one less step.

Anyone wanting to prepay/register in advance can send funds to paypal@ascc.ca. In the comments section please make note of which part you are registering for and vehicle particulars. Please bring your proof of paypal payment with you on Saturday.

As a reminder

--Autoslalom school costs $30. For first time members this also covers ASCC annual membership, If you were a member previously the school will cost $20. The school cost also includes the test and tune time.

Will this suffice for a helmet? Do I need to dig inside for another label?

Thanks, Scott.
