The first event was postponed. It has been rescheduled to February 16th. So, the first event is event #2! Going to take a look at the lot during the week to make sure the Magic Mountain parking lot is still suitable. If so, MMSC will be holding a Rallycross event on Sunday, February 9th. Pre-registration is available here: http://www.mmsc.ca/rally/rallycross-on-line-entry-form/ Let’s have some fun in the snow! Details below:

Schedule:
7:00am-9:00am Course Setup

Front Wheel Drive
Rear Wheel Drive

* “Normal” #13 or #15 studded snow tires are allowed in all classes. No other types of studded tires are allowed with approval by the organizer.

Any chance to push the start time ahead an hour, make it a little easier for those of us who are coming a longer distance.

I moved it ahead an hour because we have to be out 3:30pm; gives us more time to get runs in especially if we have a high turn out.

What are the rules concerning ballast? I wouldn't even make it to the starting line without a few hundred pounds of sand bags in the bed of the truck - no joke!

As long as they secured, should be fine.

The lot is going to be perfect - quite a layer of frozen accumulation from the entire winter (they do not plow these lots). For those that do not know - these are the paved parking lots we often hold autoslaloms on. We plan to get there Saturday and plow and prep it so Sunday can start on time.
Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday. Weather forecast is mostly sunny and -8. Travel should be safe. Bob and I are working on the snacks and Hot Choc. Come have some fun!

It is excellent up there. Just got home - spent all morning prepping it. There is nothing but Slippery! And the snowbanks are minimal. Hope to see you in the morning.
PS Bob is gearing up snacks and Hot Chocolate !!!

Great event! Can't wait for some of the pics and videos.

Thanks to everyone who came out ... couldn't have a better winter event than that!
We are doing it again a week from now so make your plans to get out for the fun.
Sorry about the scheduling conflicts. If the other venues get into weather problems, ours looks like it will be viable no matter what. Everyone welcome.

Now if we can just get everyone on the same page, maybe we can make a go of a Regional series.....maybe a one weekend, Saturday/Sunday in Moncton and Fredericton. And a couple of weeks later a double header in NS? Like one day at Scotia, one day @ AMP? Small Navigational rally in between maybe?

I've talked to everyone about it and almost did it this year but various things caused it to fall apart. The problem is the FMC and MMSC events (and apparently the BAC events this year) are extremely weather dependent. Its hard to schedule a regional and make sure it actually happens. At the AGM in November FMC wasn't even sure they were going to have any events at all.

I had planned to have a 3 event regional this year with 1 Scotia Speed world, 1 AMP and 1 Moncton event but things (life) just haven't cooperated.

I even have trophies already! :)
