I see that AFRA is organizing time attack no.3 on Sept 2, rules and regs and fees similar to the ASCC events?

I'd never done anything like that before, but I thought they were sort of cool too. More fun than a track day, for sure. Not that track days aren't fun - I just liked the 'competition' part of time attack more.

I was hoping to get to do at least one time attack this year...this sucks

No doubt, Luc, no doubt. I brought my time down to a 1:18.3 at the last time attack, not far off your best.

Just quickly looking at the AMP calendar, Sept 8th & 27th/28th are free..... contact your club(s) and ask them to organize another Time Attack if you're serious about it.

However it's probably too late in the year to get one together.... also there only seems to be 4-5 people seriously interested in it.... and those aren't the important numbers... pre-registration would be the key #.

I brought up an idea to Debbie at the meeting of a third Time Attack, but it was immediately shut down. After seeing this thread I sent an e-mail to her but haven't heard anything back yet....I am trying.

Why doesn't AFRA rethink the Sept 2nd date and make it a Time Attack event. The ASCC ones this year have been well attended.

We already have many people pre-registered for the Track Day/School and aren't changing it this late in the game.
Honestly the 5 posters on this thread are the only interest the Time Attack has garnered.

I would like to do another time attack, either on Sept 2 or any other weekend in Sept, I think if it was widely known you would get a lot more interest than 5 (6 now) I just stumbled on this and I am on the site regularly

The only reason I haven't posted is because I already wrote it off early in the season, when it was announced that the 3rd event was cancelled.
And I suspect some others are feeling the same way.

So I've just accepted that nobody seems interested in organizing Time Attacks. In spite of the fact of good turnouts at both events this year.

Well, if all it would take is an organizer, I'll volunteer. I really can't see the Sept date being switched on such short notice, but the Sept 28 date would be more likely.

Sept 2nd will not be a Time Attack, but it looks like the wheels maybe in motion for something in late Sept which is good news.

I did not take a picture of the Subarus. It's not a great camera for speed, most of my other pictures ended up looking blurry.
