It sucks that you and Darrell can't compete while organizing

We can. Darrell said he needs tires and it's usually a logistics or time problem for me.

I'm going to miss the first few races - I was in Europe working for a while and won't be back in NB for another while yet.

I'm afraid i'm out for awhile. My doctor has asked me to not drive for 3 months due to ongoing health issues for the past 1 1/2 years that they finally figured out.

Had to change some medications which affects me so they are worried about me driving.

SOO in short i'm out for the spring season, hoping to be back on the road by July.

Trust me i'm going nuts, having both the CAR and MOTORBIKE sitting idle is making me insane.

Hey guys,

What's the rule on tires?

I spent the last few months getting a car ready for this year, however, I'm still having problems with it so I'm going to try and use my daily driver.... The only problem is the rear tires are wore down to the wear bars, other than that they are in good shape with no canvas/wire showing. Is this acceptable? I'm trying to source some tires but I don't think I will be able to get them on for tomorrow and would like to give this a try.

Tread shouldn't be too much of an issue - some people run slicks :orglaugh:
I would expect that as long as they're safe (no bulges and no cord showing) they'd be allowed
If you're local, come out tomorrow and have Josh or Ming take a look prior to the event. They'll be able to tell you for sure

As long as there are no cords showing and generally in good condition, they are acceptable.

I'm not going to make it, car is on jack stands right now, getting an axle fixed and trying to figure out the power steering supercharger noise!

Sorry to hear, Eric
Hope you're better soon

Tyson, stop being so successful dammit :orglaugh:

Dan, I'm pretty sure the R32 has turbocharged power steering and supercharged air conditioning. Maybe check the flux capacitor for leaks

Ahh that's the puddle I saw this morning! I wonder if you can get reman flux capacitors?

In all seriousness though, the rack is leaking and it was low on fluid, I'm guessing that's why it was so loud. I topped it up with stop leak and was hoping that would fix it but with it on stands now and the suspension stretched its actually dripping out :( . New rack at VW is $1000+ so I'm hoping it will either seal itself or I can find one used or reman at a parts place.

Great event and really good turn out, despite the nippy temperature
Prior to her runs, Louise was pumped to come back again next week - it'll be interesting to see if she and Wayne become semi-regular

I did up the PAX scores
