Each year I remember someone doing a group buy or some sort of deal on Carbotech pads. I didn't see any mention of it this year, and I can't remember the name of the memeber that offered it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

It was Frank Ewald from Ontario. The last one was last March, but I have seen nothing this year.

Frank already had his annual group buy in Feb. It's all done now.

Shoot. Anywhere I should buy a set or should I just go with where ever I can find the best price online?

Derek, you can call Carbotech and order direct yourself. My only caution would be the guys at Carbotech do not understand our track and will always try to sell you pads that are a notch or two below what you really need. For Vantage Motorsports they actually have a note in our file that we need aggressive brakes and we have enough experience with their pad lineup that they don't question our selection anymore.

Yes, go one-step more aggressive than the compound they recommend for your car.

I was going to go with the XP10 but I'll keep your suggestion in mind and see what they offer. I think the XP12 is going to be a bit too much since I don't know if I am going to ever get to use R-compound tires.

My car is 2900+ pounds so the XP8 is out of the question.
