Just did a quick practice, I'm running consistent low 1:17's high 1:16's while my best lap was somewhere in the 1:15's. I hope I'll be taking part at Suzuka's.

Just turned a few laps with Varga, Harrod and Cheechoo..... best I could manage was a 1:55.5 on (nearly) full fuel.
Varga managed a 1:54.8 (on extremely low fuel... read 2L in his tank).

I was able to do 1:59's pretty consistantly, and I only was practicing for 20 minutes. It will be a good battle for us mid pack runners.

Jonathan must have been running Suzuka East.

I've decided to increase the # of laps at Suzuka from 26 to 32.
This should ensure the race lasts at least an hour.

I messed around the other night and was in the 57's. Hard to string together a bunch of incident free laps though so once again I will be looking for the red flag.

Well what a series!

For the final race I dropped a wheel and spun in the S curves, big props to the field of racers we had that while I was 180 degrees around, and stopped no one collected me.

I fought my way back up to 3rd over the next few laps. I decided to go for a 3 stop strategy, so every 8 laps.
I think the only one on a similar pit stop pattern was John.

When I came out of the pits after my final stop, Varga and Steve had just passed in front of me. I think Steve pitted, and then I battled Varga for a lap or two, however his tires were shot and after a few laps I was able to get by him and pull out a lead.

John was about 20 seconds ahead of me as I went through 130R but I dropped a wheel on the greenstuff and went off. Minor damage to my left rear wheel. However Varga was now right behind me. It was a tough last lap, however I was able to hold Varga off to take 2nd place.

Varga missed 1 race, but podium-ed every race he entered, despite having massive "success ballast" for most races.
Varga, Alek, Steve and myself each won one race a piece, however John (Cheechoo) took 3 wins this series. I think it would have been more if he had a better internet connection.

Overall I think this was our most successful series to date. I think the "success ballast" worked extremely well in keeping the racing interesting & close.

However that said I'd like to give a F1 2012 series a try, so please see the link below for more info:

This sure was a fun series, well the race I succeeded in joining were fun... Last race was kinda lonely though, I could see Jason and Vargha were doing similar lap times than I was, I kinda wished they would've catched up so I could fight a little, but they both had a couple off accidents or something, so it never happened. My roommates cat decided it was a good time to jump on my knees, rub itself against me and my controller. After a while, I was not sure if I was either tired from the road trip and the time change, the effect of medication or something, or just the game lagging on me, but around lap 20 something(maybe earlier) the track kinda began to get blurry a bit and I spent a couple of lap wondering if it was the game or me I started visiting the grass regularly running 2 mins lap a couple of time before I got a hold of myself again. And my best lap was a 1:54,855 :D

In case you didn't know the rules, you have to share any medication you are on with the room, especially when it is performance enhancing.

I also wish we could easily share laps and overlay. I would love to see where I am losing almost 2 seconds on our fastest laps. I thought i was doing ok in the 56's but a 54 would have been nice.

After the first lap (or was it the second), I was 1 min and 9 seconds behind. I had intended to run fast laps and stop after the laptimes dropped However due to the initial misfortune...I was forced to try to extend my stints in hopes of leapfrogging. Well it worked to claim 3rd place. My last pit stop was on the start of lap 17.......I didn't have much tires to battle other than setttling for the outcome......my fastest was 1:55.309.....in the last stint.

Suzuka did not lend itself for running longer stints......I got lucky for third.....and almost second place.

This was a fun series ballast and all...and I am looking forward to F1 2012.....but it takes more patience for me.....

Well, I doubt a couple of Tylenols and cough syrup are performance enhancer ;)
