Track Guide (by Brian Weatherbee)

I have run the Caddy here a little and it can be a hand full. You need lots of patience here as you can not get on the gas early or hard anywhere. A lot of just letting it roll, almost all the way through turn 1 ,2 and 3. Wait for it to get straight and squeeze it off. Have to be very careful going over the hill , have to lift there when you crest and have the car and wheel dead straight or you will crash. The last corner can be trouble too , again not too aggressive , turn in early and try to just scrub the curb and squeeze off. So the trick here will be to stay out of the pits.

Oh , one more thing about Lime Rock witch might be obvious, but stay on the concrete strips. Both wheels where you can. Not like the car in the above pic. That is way too wide. Not only is the concrete the proper line but there is more grip.

Alvin? Welcome! Although, please change your forum login ID to your real name so we know who everyone is.

I have not personally run the Caddy at Lime rock Park yet, but Brian Weatherbee has run 49.708. The hotlap video above is a 49.5 lap, and I've seen a 48.9 on YouTube. but think that's about as fast as it gets. If you're running 53's I'd say you're in good shape. We have a wide range of experience & skill level in our league so there's always someone to race. :D

After doing some testing today, I have come to the conclusion that this race is going to hurt. A lot.

We run two races, one after the other. It a 10 minute qualifying session, followed by a 30 minute race, and then a short break. After that we do it all over again!

Yes, two 30 minute races back-to-back. Double your pleasure. ;)

After deductions were applied for incidents, here's what the series Points Standings look like:

The top six positions have remained static. Ryan has reclaimed 7th spot, bumping Stacy down to 8th. Jeff made a strong mid-season debut and finds himself 9th in the championship.

This Friday we find ourselves at Summit Point Raceway, another new track to the series.

My race report...

Surprisingly I did quite well at LRP for having never driven the car here before Friday night.

Race 1: Started in P3 and was hanging onto Paul & Weatherbee for the first few laps. Then Paul slipped off the track and I inherited 2nd place. Held 2nd for the next 8 laps and was maintaining a 5-6 second gap from Paul, but then I spun and Paul reclaimed 2nd while I was trying to gather it up in the grass. Rejoined the track in 3rd position again and held it to the checkered flag, unable to chase down Paul.

Race 2: Started on pole and held the lead for the first two laps with Brian Gay glued to my rear bumper. Then on lap 3, I succumbed to the pressure and spun off into the grass. Rejoined in 6th place and worked my way up to 3rd by lap 11, and held it to finish the night with two consecutive 3rd places.
