I'll fuel it further. I tend to visit Calgary every summer to see family, and would happily drive a car back if you paid for gas. I'd much rather take 4-5 days to relax on the road than fly back. That's assuming that I don't pick up a project out there myself. In that case, hope that it has some tow capacity and perhaps I can recreate the V70/CRX voyage that I did a couple of years ago.

Where in the green hell are you finding WRXes for $1500? $5k is about the going rate for a well loved WRX these days, but the STI has a whole lot more than a few more horses to bump the cost up. The drivetrain bits alone are worth significantly more even parted out.

This listing says that it's NA, so a non-turbo 2JZ should be around 220hp. Still not bad though. $4,000 for a caged LHD chassis would be reasonable....let alone a running one. It would be pretty simple to put a boosted 2JZ in there. Have to stop thinking about it.

At the time it was a Group 5 car, making the adjusted disp limit 5.1. Now that is 15 years ago or so.......
