I've always found it interesting that there aren't more RHD cars in North American rally. Lots of potent AWD options available for cheap, good solid rust free platforms. There's nothing specifically against them in the CARS rules unless I'm missing a clause somewhere. I expect the argument would be that they're immediate Open class, but pretty much everything is Open class these days.

No thanks Rob. It was posted in the fun talk section of one of my old-school Toyota forums.

I never did show you guys what I replaced my Lemon Honda TRX420 http://armsinc.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?p=88570 with did I...

As you may or may not know my company Triple R Telecom delivers equipment to Cell sites that are sometimes on top of mountains.
Mud, rock, washouts at the bottom of the hill ...snow deeper than your waist at the top. Snowmobiles are out, a normal ATV is out, a side-by-side won't fit on my hydraulic tailgates to offload, a skidsteer will sink, etc... So I bought this

Image Image

A 2 up Can-Am XT Max 650 Rotax powered tracked monster. I've had it up to a 110km/hr on the tracks (which is out a bit % because of the tracks) before backing off, it will go through powder so fine that you literally sink to your beltbuckle when you get off, and it has a great wheelie-bar effect in the rear that allows you to go up hills you'd never dream of in the summer with the wheels on. Of course it's funny how I always volunteer to do the deliveries involving it rather than send someone else

Looks like it would be rather simple to diagnose and work on as well.......

BUT, price is good, location is not too far away, and you already know everything there is to know about Audi's.

Oh you never know all there is to know about Audi's.... They just sort of let you in to their life, little by little, until it's too late.

Sort of like the Borg I guess.

I imagine that makes all the right noises though, AAN at full chat.... Mmmmmmm...

8O LOG BOOKED for 4 G's ... WOW ... come get my trailer !!! and I am sure it would be a LOT easier to figure out that wiring than it was to do the Steve Barns edition on the current car ;)

I have a rough idea of what that AAN would pull like, and at 2700lbs..... :)

I was only in Barnes car once when it had the AAN, but it did get up and go.

$4k........ Don't make me think much longer about this.

Someone pick this up, then we can start our own corner of the paddock with German gear!

I might wait and see if JDM Source or Import Concern bring in another Pulsar GTR though. I almost jumped one of them a few years ago, but was still stuck in Honda mode and hadn't seen the light in regards to AWD at the time. For some reason, I've actually gone to heavier FWD cars since then....I can't really explain that one.

I love Pulsar GTIs. I'd love to have one. I just can't quite bring myself to go RHD.
