Hello to all our neighbors to the north. The Cumberland Motor Club from Maine is hosting its annual Loring experience autocross event from August 5th to the 7th at the former Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. I know some of you have attended in years past so I am hoping that you can help spread the word about the event.
As you can see by the map attached below that the area is huge and offers us the opportunity for a 1.5 mile long course layout. Friday the 5th is reserved for a free "Test and Tune" day to dial in your car in preparation for Saturday and Sunday, the 6th and 7th, which are the actual competition days. The Caribou Inn and Convention Center hotel offers a discount for attendees, just mention that you are with the Cumberland Motor Club. You can also camp on the facility but amenities are limited. There will be porta-potties available, but if you are camping you will need to bring your own water and shower set up. Some folks with the club will also share theirs as well. Camping on the site is free, however, you can not have an open fire or fire pit either. Gas bbq grills and gas camping stoves are fine.
You can pre-register (recommended) by going to our website at
http://www.cumberlandmotorclub.com and gaining access to the Axware registration process. You can also learn about other info on our site.
We hope to see some of you there to participate and offer some friendly competition from the north!
