Mosport Indy results posted.
Congrats to Scott and Paul on the wins. Good to see Steve, Stacy and Brian W out.
Mosport is a great place to show off grip and HP. Except for Moss. That was a crapshoot for me between trying to get the car slowed and turned over the abrupt elevation change, bumps and what seemed like a 3 ft high curb, and then launching the car in first gear to get a good run down the straight. Not sure I got it exactly the same for any two laps.
Scott on pole for R1 didn't say a word this time and I still found myself slow at the start.

Though I was paying attention this time I was on the bumps in Tlast when the field took off so I didn't trust to just floor the car in first gear. Chased Ryan the first lap and got a good tow to get alongside him at the end of the straight. Was trying to hold the inside when clipped the curb which made the car jump sideways a few feet. Was waiting for the impact but it didn't happen. Chased Brian for a few laps after he had an issue at Moss, but once I lost the draft he started to pull away. John was slowly closing the gap as the race went on but saw him run wide at Moss which gave me some breathing room. At one point came across Paul and what appeared to be a ball of white car near tlast.
Second race I started down around 7th place so was expecting a good scrap. Managed to slide the car past Scott when he got sideways in 2B on the second lap. Jay must have had damage from contact with Scott as he fell back right after that. Stayed in Brian's tow for a few laps until he had problems exiting Moss. John was slowly chasing me down as the race went on. At one point thought he was going to pass me when we were both on the grass getting around a spun car sitting between 2A and 2B. Steve, thanks for making room when we caught you near pit in. Was looking like it was going to be a close finish but with about 5 laps to go John went wide out of T1 and never saw him again.

With Paul way out front, was careful after that not to gift Ryan second place.
V8s at the ring next week and then Indycars at Zandvoort. If you can let me know what cars/truck you will be running at the ring by the end of the weekend we can drop the unused ones and fit others in their place. I'll likely run the older Falcon again.
BTW did anyone try the DX11 version last night. I did but can't say for sure what changes it made as it required running the graphics config wizard again which changed all the graphics settings. Was kind of neat see grass/gravel stick on the tires and watch it wear off once got back on the track.
PS there are still a couple open spots for the 12 hours of Sebring this Saturday with the vette DP C7. If you have a couple hours Saturday afternoon please let Ryan know (if someone can't make it later in the day I can switch the early afternoon spot with them).
