The time attack regs state that a 4pt (most are DOT) is still allowed.

1.3 Applicable to vehicles with three-point and four-point aftermarket harnesses:
i) Three-point and four-point harnesses shall not be used in a vehicle with a roll cage.
ii) An aftermarket harness shall be acceptable only after a copy of the relevant documentation has been
confirmed by scrutineering, e.g., manufacturers': installation instructions, homologations, model/yearspecific
information if applicable, etc.
I know with the Schroth I have it states what cars are "approved".
Next two sections are what I first read as making DOT harnesses illegal, but perhaps not
Quote:
When a safety harness (2 lap straps, 2 shoulder straps and 1 or 2 crotch strap/straps) is used, it
must meet one of the following standards:
a) FIA Standard 8853-98
b) SFI 16.1
c) SFI 16.5
Except the para it is in is supposed to be about 3 and 4 strap systems. So based on this, would a 4 strap Schroth be legit, but adding a sub strap would make it need to comply with the three standards and expiry dates? I can't even tell anymore. Wish people who knew how to read rules also wrote them. Including para 1.3 iii and iv in the section discussing 3 and 4 strap systems confuses it more.
