Supplemental Regulations for June 17th, 2015 ASCC Club Autoslalom #2

Location: Scotia Speed World, near Halifax International Airport, Halifax NS

Organizer: ASCC Solo Committee.
Course Set Up Workforce: ***Volunteers Needed
Timing and Scoring: James,Charlotte Cathy Partridge, and Krista Barron
Registrar: Krista Barron, Charlotte and Carthy Partridge.
Chief Scrutineer: TBD
Safety Steward: TBD
Entry Fee: $20.00 (for members of an ARMS-affiliate club).

Schedule:

1600: Gates open. Volunteers are asked to arrive.
1630: Registration and Scrutineering Open.
1730: Registration and Scrutineering Closed.
1735: Drivers meeting.
1740: "Official" course walk/drive.
1800: First car starts.

In order for this to run efficiently, we need to follow this schedule precisely.

Registration will be closed at 1730 on the dot.

Insurance: As required by ARMS, provided by ASN Canada FIA. Waiver to be signed by all persons on-site.

Regulations: This event will be held under the General Competition Rules of ARMS, and the Atlantic Sports Car Club event regulations. This is the 2nd event of the 2015 ASCC club Autoslalom season.

Absolutely no speeding or reckless driving around the site will be tolerated. Driving behavior during the event will be discussed at the drivers meeting

Notes:

The ASCC has SSW rented from 1600-2000. Therefore the schedule as shown above will be STRICTLY enforced.
If we do not have time for every car to run 4 runs, your time will be scored on your first 3 runs.

Run/Work Groups:

All cars must have their competition number and class displayed on both sides of their car for the benefit of the Paddock Marshall and the Timing and Scoring staff.

There will be 1 run group. After your run you have 4-5Min to check your car and times, then relieve the person next to run at the station start informed you to go to. Competitors are reminded to report quickly to their workstations in order to ensure quick turn around. Failure to report for work assignment will result in forfeiture of points and any remaining runs.

Directions:

-Take Exit 6 off Hwy 102
*North bound 102 take left at top of Ramp and then take a left at end of road.
*South bound 102 straight ahead at Stop sign top of ramp
-Go past Air Flight Museum
-Go past Airport Hotel
-Turn left into large parking lot of Scotia Speed World
-Proceed to the gates to enter the track

looks like i'm going to be in dartmouth for work this week, so i'll be swing by to join in on the fun. Do you have online pre-registration, or is it just on site?

An event I'm not at sea for! I'll be coming and Joe is busy, but I'm going to bring a friend out for his first event.

If anyone gets the chance to post the times from yesterday that would be great, I'm just keeping track of my improvements for my own personal use and would be very appreciative. Had a great time even though we only got the two runs in.

They usually get posted later in the week. (I guess early next week, since it's Wednesday?) Once there's a chance to review them and figure out points.

Official rules, FWIW:

3.4.3. Official Number of Runs
There shall be a minimum of two (2) timed runs for each competitor at each event.
There shall be no practice runs for any competitor entered in the event. There shall be
a time period for Competitors to have an opportunity to walk the course prior to
commencement of the first timed run of the event.

Holy crap! 49 entries on a Wednesday evening! Good job getting everyone through twice! Excellent showing guys!

Does anyone remember where I hit a cone on my second run?? (car #91 Orange Fiesta) It felt clean to me and I had a couple spectators tell me the same.

Big thanks to everyone for understanding Wednesday. We never want to end a event after 2 runs. Its been a very long time since we had to cut runs short. Lots of new people out as well. New faces with the FSAE. Hope to see everyone in Digby next weekend. $40 for all 3 days. Fast longer courses.

Hey Dustin! I had recorded a pylon hit for you on run #2 from station#5. Not sure if this helps you any, you did great out there!

Probably was like many others. just clipping the cones in the really tight left at the end of the straight. I probably picked up 10 in the short period i was there

Anybody get pics or video of this event?

SSW is one of my favorite slaloms, it would be nice if we could do it more than just once per year. The Wednesday night thing is kind of nice too!
