This Regional Autoslalom event #1 will mark the first event being held by NBSCC in celebration of our 50th year of incorporation

We certainly could not have done this without Sponsors to help keep our expenses down!

Please go out of your way to support and thank these companies for their contributions in helping us make this event great
...for instance when visiting the store, always start the conversation off with "I saw you as a sponsor at the NBSCC event and thought I'd come in"

BTW stay tuned for a really big announcement for this event in celebration of NBSCC's 50th year of incorporation...

Meanwhile here's an in-car video of our Solo director's run from last year at the NBSCC Long Wharf Regional event:

Some say there's something in common with this guy:
Image

Others say that Pidge and Charlotte spent some time with him once...

All we know is that we just call him Lenny 8)

Special thanks goes out to Adam for securing the outer fence area (which belongs to Harbour Station) for the paddock area :beerchug:
Only those with proper coloured wristbands will be allowed in this area (Entrants can vouch for friends whose car number will then be written on the band)

The proposed layout should be similar to this taking into account the best portions of the parking lot:

Note that the Monster trucks putting on a show next door at Harbour Station will only be allowed in if they are they promise not to flatten our pylons, meet rollover standards, and not squish Lenny

Please note the T-shirt may not be black. that colour was chosen for design clarity. we will be voting on colour of shirt as well. So make sure your at the meeting to vote for your favorite design (strips look good on everyone)

Right, I forgot...

And of course the "slightly over 50" speedo describing our Nov to Nov predicament is simply brilliant, and Brumos called and was saying something about patent infrigment concerning the stripes 8)

Wow guys that all looks fantastic! Great work. I like the Gulf color scheme :)

Edit: Was George the inspiration for where the needle sits in the final example? :orglaugh: :orglaugh: :orglaugh: :orglaugh:

Looks like you guys have put a ton of effort into this. Really excited to take part, especially since I missed this one last year.

So, does the overall winner take home a 'brand new' Saab 9-5 Sportcombi (named Lenny)?

Great job guys...and yes the "gulf" shirt is cool but I wonder what it would look like with a large Belly stuffed in it. 8O :D

Black is great for visualizing graphics but not everyone likes a hot black T-shirt...an idea would be to use one of the "gulf" colors as the shirt color and outline the graphics with a black stroke for pop or multi-offsets to form a sharp shadow effect.

All I want to know is " will the GMC motorhome be at the event "?

Rather than FTD we are going to once again hold a draw of all registered participants and volunteers.
Register 4 weeks early you get 4 ballets, 3 weeks early = 3 ballets, etc, etc... so the sooner you pre-register the more chances you have to win a CAR

Pre-registration can be found here: http://www.nbscc.org/p/autoslalom.html
...And here's the even greater part, we don't want your money until the day of the event. We just need to have a good idea of how many competitors are showing up and if a couple can't make it we understand. We will miss you, but we will understand

Lenny will miss his partner Squiggy (...a Saab 9-3 which may get used as a rallycross car someday) in the parking stall next to him, but we at least we won't be getting anymore blank looks from the youngin's when we explain that the pair were named after characters on Laverene and Shirley :aeh:

Yours in Motorsports
Stacy

Is there an entry list? I registered but not sure if it went through.

Also I can't remember if you accept PayPal for payments or do I just pay at the event?

Why does the registration site claim the school is "29th-30th" ?

Can I miss the classroom session and still attend the school in the morning?

I hope you mean as an instructor?

This is meant primarily for rookies, but veterans that wish to volunteer their time may be allowed a few runs with their own cars (having student passengers) at the discretion of the organizer...

Thanks
Stacy

Oh, I offered to help but never heard anything back which is no problem. I thought the school was open for anyone. I would understand that if attendance was full then I would be bumped out to make room for rookies, but I was looking to sign up either way. If that's not allowed then I will just attend the club event in the evening then.
