Sorry to hear that Rej. Noticed you didn't stay long for either race. What wheel do you have?
I had a computer gremlin as well last night; it wouldn't detect one of the monitors. The monitor works if switch it to one of the other ports, so is either the port on the back of the card or the cable adapter (display port to DVI). Was weird driving with only the center monitor.
Congrats to David M on the wins. last night
Montreal is a great track but it's not very forgiving. Get it just a little wrong and there is a wall right there to punish you. Add a car that doesn't like cold tires and makes for some very interesting race starts.
Don't know if it was the lack of practice or getting used to the new view but couldn't quite seem to get a lap together during qualifying. Starting near the back was a good idea anyway. Got caught up in the Keith/John thing at the start. Think it was John's car parked on the track that I hit (didn't realize it was stopped until it was too late). After it was sorted they came out of the pits just in front of me a lap or two down. Followed them until we came accross Ralph and Mark. Got a little confusing for a bit as the faster lapped cars were mixed with the cars on the lead lap. At one point was having a fight with Ralph. We got through one of the chicanes side by side, but we ran out of room on one of the exits and tangled. I snuck into the pits for a quick repair , not sure were Ralph ended up. Since didn't have anything better to do I spun right in front of Scott in the last chicance on the last lap , just to make sure he was still paying attention.
Second race was getting a little wheel/screen coordination back but still decided to start near the back. Once the tire warmed up Keith and I were chasing Randy. Was going well until I ran over Randy in the hairpin, and Keith got tangled up in it as well. Chased down Randy again a few laps later and spent a few laps trying to figure out how to get by, but he helped out by brushing a wall which let me through. Was chasing down Jay at one point who seems to be improving all the time, but one of the walls got him before we could get anything going. After that was just putting in laps.
VIR next week in the GT cars, then to Mid-Ohio in the Mazdas.
