Some bullets regarding the Trails of Kings Tarmac Rally on August 27:


Status: BAC Club Rally
Start Control: Greenwich Community Hall, 106 Greenwich Rd., Greenwich, NS (GPS 45.080728N 64.401960W)
Timings: Start control opens at 1215, mandatory briefing/Richta overview 1245, mandatory crew meeting 1330, Car 0 departs the out marker at 1400.
Approximate Length: 130 km (+/- 10%).
Finish Control: Kings Arms Pub (Crossed Keys Room), Kentville, NS (GPS 45.076955N 64.495877W)
Surface: All tarmac/paved/sealed surface
Equipment required: Android or Apple smartphone with the free Richta Competitor app. Bring this phone to the start control with you!
All-tarmac rally suitable for classic sports cars and sedans; beginner/Novice friendly.
Awards: Dash plaques will be awarded to the top three drivers and navigators in each class. There is a special prize for the first classified Mazda Miata/MX-5 (regardless of vintage).
Registration opens 0900 August 1; entries will be limited.

For the majority of us unfamiliar with the Richta system, this will be a great training/test event leading up to the NSRR on Oct. 8. The Supplementary Regulations will be posted one month before the event at bluenoseautosport.ca. Check the same website for Richta information or visit richtarally.com.

I can report that all CPs are positioned and the Richta-generated validity report (which gives an overview of each CP including leg distance, leg time, sequence, etc.) is error-free.

We'll head out tomorrow to make a few minor adjustments to the odo check and first couple of legs and then we should be ready to go after another validity check. The Supplementary Regulations will be published on July 27 at bluenoseautosport.ca and via email to BAC club members.
