Good afternoon,
The Lost in Lunenburg Regional NAVEX (
https://www.bluenoseautosport.ca/naviga ... rally-tsd/) will be held on April 23 in and around Queens County, NS. This is the first rally in the region (AFAIK) to use the Richta Rally timing and scoring system.
This system is smartphone-based (iPhone or Android) and uses the free Richta Competitor app and GPS technology to record your passage of CPs. Competitors are timed to the second. There is no need for manned checkpoints. It also simplifies scoring as competitor data is transmitted to the Richta Rallymaster and Scoreboard app. If every competitor has cellular data enabled on their phone or tablet, the rally is scored and results are available as soon as the last car passes the final CP.
This system will also be used on the New Scotland Road Rally in June and the Trails of Kings Tarmac Rally in August. More information and documentation can be found at
http://www.richtarally.com or on the BAC website at
https://www.bluenoseautosport.ca/naviga ... ly-system/.
If you'll be entering any of these rallies, download the free competitor app, read the literature, and get used to the layout and functions. The screenshots on the BAC website should help. You can also send me an email at
vp@bluenoseautosport.ca and I'll try to answer any questions you may have regarding the system.
Thanks for reading and I hope you're looking forward to a great NAVEX season.
Best regards,
Gary
