We had a great time. The roads were in excellent condition and there were enough twists in the instructions to make it interesting.
I hope the gentleman that turned early on a corner and needed a tow out of the snow appreciated that we stopped to help him out.
Thanks to the organizers and check pointers.

Thanks to the organizers! I had a blast.

I look forward to checkpointing this every winter. It's lots of fun and a great way to stay in touch with all of my motorsports friends during the 'off' season from road racing. And the locations of the check points are almost always 'interesting'. This years was no exception, right by a wind-swept lake, with the ice cracking and groaning, with lots of stars to look at. All from a nice warm car, of course. Truly spectacular!

Looking forward to next year.

Mitch

This reminds me of one checkpoint on the 2009 winter TSD rally. The check point was after a square left, and sat on this road that had a massive river on one side and a small water filled ditch on the other. The issue was the road before that square left was a massive, ice covered hill! It was truly picturesque on that night, and it's a sight I'll never forget.

TSDs really do have some of the nicest bits of scenery.
