During my haste last night to get scoring sorted I over looked one component.

Two teams entered for the BLM Shield at the beginning of the event.

Team 1, Partridge/Anywll, Conrad/Rankin, Eakin/Sleigh. 53 pts.

Team 2 was B Partridge/E Partridge, C Partridge/Whitehead, B McNutt/McNutt. 21 pts

My regrets on not having this sorted last evening. Bit on the go...... :)

Pidge will now step in and tell us all about the BLM shield, how it works, and if I got the scoring correct. :)

More results to follow.

Thanks!

Teams of three cars enter at registration. They represent their club. The total of all three vehicles is the score for the team. Lowest score wins.
There is a regional trophy at years' end to the winning club.

Alright. Scored it wrong then.

My regrets, it's been some time since scoring a BLM team.

The win goes to BAC, team #2. Congrats!

In case Team #13 Dine/Snider are wondering how they got the 2E on Checkpoint #5 it's partly because they left our Checkpoint #4 a minute too soon... George and I watched them drive off and asked "Did they know they still have to sit here for another minute?"! Remember to check your score cards when you get back to your vehicle after checking in a checkpoint! The checkpoint crew might have had to add an extra minute or two to restore an appropriate gap between you and the car ahead of you (e.g. if the ahead team needed a P-Brake)!

So I have a question for my own personal edification, something we've spent a number of years trying to figure out. Why does the January ASCC event always seem to have so many more attendees than the other events throughout the year? I think the January events are pretty near the only TSD rallies to get into the double digits in the last decade, certainly the only one to do it consistently.

Is it the night setting?
The snow and ice?
The time of the year?
Does it get advertised better than other rallies?
Is it Ian's pleasant demeanour?
Do people just really like Pizza Delight?

What brought you out last weekend?

Snow and ice is nicer than potholes and rocks. We'd come out regardless, so not a great example.
