From the CARS rulebook:

12.4.4 Exhaust system.

12.4.4.1 The maximum permitted noise level from the exhaust system during any transit shall be 94 dbA from a
distance of 3 meters (10 feet).

12.4.4.2 The maximum permitted noise level from the exhaust system with the engine idling at 3500 RPM and
the vehicle stationary shall be 86 dbA, measured from a distance of 15 meters (49 feet).

END

I believe this will be the starting point for the Conrads Venue, as discussed at the most recent BAC meeting. We need to be on the good side of the neighbours.

As always, new venues are welcome if anyone has connections.

If the car is caged then it's SA2005 min, if it's not caged I defer to Rally Director but I think M2005 is ok.

M always was but I see in the rules now there is no mention of them. I was kind of waiting for the Racequip helmets to go on sale but I guess I can get one now.

There was a huge debate about this, and with the debate I believe came some confusion. Dave wanted the S.A. and M 2000 helmets no longer eligible, and in doing so, M got dropped altogether.
In my opinion, it shouldn't be, same as slalom, if caged then SA, but if not, either. But that is my opinion and not the rule. I have an SA helmet I always use so I don't worry about it. Lol

I don't think the intention was to drop M's for non caged cars. That would be ludicrous. Might want to msg the event organizers for clarification though.

My understanding is this was a typo, we discovered last year.

M2005 for non caged, SA2005 for anything caged.

Chris:

You and Manley should buy that rally prepared Mitsu while your down here on the weekend.

I think he's down to $4k without seats and harnesses. (You can use expired seats and harnesses for RallyCross)

That's a cage and a half in that thing! I'm likely going to sell my Celica and import a GF8 WRX in the spring, my Rav4 is pretty ripe from sitting for two years,. I doubt I'll ever move past rallycross though, due to lack of a co driver (and funds).

I plan to set up registration at the gate around 9 AM.
We will have the waiver and registration forms there in case you forget to print off the form.
Registration will close at 11. I will take the run order to the start.

Hi all,

This is correct. SA2005 for caged vehicles minimum, and SA2005 and M2005 for non caged vehicles.

The BAC Rally Cross Challenge GCR will be corrected at a later time.
