Anyone have the list of dates for the events? I know the November 23rd, and December 7th, but there is nothing in the calander after that.

I know they've been decided but the ARMS Calendar workshop is Sunday after the AGM which is when everything gets formalized and I assume the ARMS calendar updated.

Thanks Dave.

Are we really going to try AMP at the end of March?

Going to try to make it to SSW events. No AMP unless the contour returns, I need to be able to drive my golf home :?

I've never seen rallycross before. Is AMP's lot really hard on cars or something?

It has a bad rep because we've been known to run on it when its too soft and it gets pretty rutted up. Lately, though, we only run when its frozen so its nowhere near as bad as it used to be. The event we ran there last season was great, far smoother than any Scotia Speed World event we ran last season!

Wayne Pitts and I were organizing the first RallyCross event of the year, and with the help/input of some BAC members we have come to a decision regarding the BAC Rally Cross event for November 23rd.

It was not an easy decision to make as we all want to be out on the lot ASAP, however, if we want to preserve the fun all season we are going to have to cancel Rally Cross for November 23rd.

The big lot and the small lot both still have cars in them, and they will not be gone before Sunday. The third lot on the other side of the track near the paddock/pit area that has been investigated for use now has a small lake in it, and the chances of it being dried up, or frozen by Sunday are slim. So to avoid rutting it up and freezing into ruts, ruining future events, we're cancelling.

Pray to the rally gods for cold weather to freeze up the ground so we can run December 7th at SSW. If the big lot and small lot are still full of cars on December 7th, we will run on the (even) smaller third lot.

Good call, we ran an event last year that put ruts in the ground that stayed there for the rest of the season. This is the safe call. And likely the best call.

If someone rallycrossed one of these, we'd be all set.

Unfortunate, but very wise.

A lot of people spent a lot of time last year trying to recover from damage early on with the surface. Far better that we learn from it, and be proactive this year.

Here's to the next one! :P
