I've been out of town and sick as a dog when I got back so I'm so far behind on everything, including getting our RallyCross car back on the road. Don't think we're making this one unfortunately.

Couldn't get an appointment until next Wed to get the rear wheel bearings done, so I won't be out for this one.

Of course there's also that "trying to get the house ready to list" thing, so I'll keep busy.

Technically all ours needs is a ball joint and an MVI, and the time to do such things. :)

I've got 3 sets of gravels for sale all at 50-75% tread. Asking $200-300 for four depending on the set.

Neatly tucked away in its bag, hanging on my helmet rack. I'll drop by today and drop it off.

Thanks for the use of the helmet!

Well...went out to have a look at the parking lot to see what shape it was in..."AMAZING" is what comes to mind.

Have a look...

Hey!...someone was playing in our sandbox...

Picked up some nails and screws from the ground and cleaned off a few "campfire" spots but one in particular has nails, screws and bolts in it and could use a large magnet to get all the metal out of it.
It's not in the area....close to the hwy and in the corner but it would be good to get it now while the snow is not hiding the problem.

Sunday should be fun...

So I have been talking to the guys at work here who usually do track days at AMP. 2 of us have crown vics, 1 regal, but the other 2 guys have trucks (tahoe and 4 runner) Can they come out and play too or is there a height restriction for roll over purpose.

I could see if being more of and issue for higher grip like gravel, but snow wouldn't be as bad.

As long as they're not jacked up for offroading, trucks are welcome as well!

Pidge is usually present at the RallyCrosses so you can talk to him about your lapping card. His wife Charlotte is an unofficial ASCC membership representative as well, though she may not necessarily have cards with her. You'll have to join ASCC or BAC to run the event, of course.

Indeed it was! That poor car survived 3 years of pizza delivery and rally appearances.

Were there ever any other diesel cars ever brought to rallycross? That chevette thanks to summer tires was incredibly slow, but immense sideways fun.

I'm going to make it out this weekend for my first RallyCross and
I managed to convince 4-5 other people to come down and run their cars as well. All of us will be complete newbies, so that should provide some entertainment for the regulars. I also somehow convinced my wife to let me use her Matrix while my V70 stays stored over the winter. :)

Can't wait to have some fun this weekend!

Awesome! With the snow falling we may have an interesting surface, though it will likely just be slushy gravel by the time the first couple cars give it a run through. :)

Matt...just remember to tell everyone that the snow is soft but the gravel and rock underneath the snow is hard on tires, rims and all the bodywork.

We would like to see you return for more events in the future but if the wife puts a stop to your fun because she won't let you "abuse" her car no more well that just won't do!

Grab a helmet and a smile and come out and play!! 8)

Thanks for the heads up Gordon and Kevin. The guys coming are all fine with that, as is my (very accommodating) wife. I do all of the maintenance on her car as it is as part of our deal to keep a 'reliable car' around, so it's fair game. :D

Keep yours eyes out for a grey matrix, a grey E30, a black Ram, a purple 3 and potentially a Jetta and Integra that I've never seen. We'll be the ones running over the cones.

See you guys tomorrow!

I'm heading down but don't have a Club Membership yet this year. I usually join the Bluenose BMW Club for the Driving schools.

Hoping the Rally Armour mud flaps do their job ...

I don't think I'll be able to drive for this one as I don't have a helmet yet, but I will definitely giving it a shot at the next one.

I do plan on stopping by to watch some sweet sideways action though.

There will be loaner helmets on site for you to borrow.
