Shearwater event #4 (Club event #8) for 2019 is on Sunday, September 8

PLEASE NOTE THE REGISTRATION CUTOFF TIME. We cannot do late registrations at Shearwater. If you cannot make 9:45, arrange for someone else to fill out / submit your form + payment. You must still make the Driver's meeting to compete.

The reason for the time cutoff is to do an official coursewalk every event.

Course will be closed for walking until it is finished. Please be patient with us for setup, we are usually done by 9:15 if we get in at 8:00. If you want to help, we can always use it. Contact me if you could be there @ 8:30 and can help with setup. Note that we're looking for people with slalom experience.

Location: CFB Shearwater
Organizer: ASCC Solo committee
Timing and Scoring: James, Cathy Partridge, and Krista Nelson
Registrar: Cathy Partridge and Krista Nelson
Entry Fee: $40.00 (for members of an ARMS-affiliate club). If it's your first ever event, this includes membership!

Schedule:
0800: Volunteers are asked to arrive.
0830: Registration and Scrutineering Open.
0915: Course open for walking (tentative)
0945: Registration and Scrutineering Closed.
1015: Drivers meeting.
1030: Official course walk.
1100: First car starts.
1600: Runs stop
1700: Everyone offsite

We have some rules to follow since this is a government property and we want to stay in their good graces, and there will be commissionaires present for the whole event. If you break these rules you risk being removed from the site and possibly banned from future events.

You may be asked for proof of govt issued ID upon entry.

It took a lot of work on behalf of ASCC President Debbie Miller to get this site, we do not want to jeopardize it in any way. The rules are quite simple. They will also be covered clearly in the driver's meeting.

1) Smoking will be allowed ONLY in a designated area. Absolutely no smoking elsewhere onsite.

2) Absolutely no drugs or alcohol.

3) No speeding or reckless driving anywhere on or near the property.

4) Do not leave ANY garbage on site. We will have bags near the timing trailer for garbage, there are no excuses for leaving garbage anywhere.

5) Access will be at the southeast side of the base on a side road where Hines Road meets Caldwell Road. It is a gravel road.

There will either be a lunchbreak between morning/afternoon rungroups, or 3 rungroups if we have enough entries.

Insurance: As required by ARMS, provided by ASN Canada FIA. Waiver to be signed by all persons on-site. Waiver must be signed every event

Regulations: This event will be held under the General Competition Rules of ARMS, and the Atlantic Sports Car Club event regulations. All competitors must be present for the Drivers meeting. If you can not make it, contact me prior.

CAR NUMBER AND CLASS IS REQUIRED ON BOTH SIDES OF YOUR VEHICLE AND MUST BE LEGIBLE FROM A DISTANCE.

Note - 2019 ASCC Autoslalom series following the ARMS classing and points system, with the addition of the "ISI Raw Time Challenge" classes.

Classing can be found here:
http://www.asncanada.com/solosport/#soloregulations

Note that if your car is in the street modified category and you have tires with 200tw rating or higher, you can run the street tire version of your class.

Please try and class your car prior to the event. If you have questions, ask here or email solo@ascc.ca. I can also assign numbers.
