Once again CMC is holding is mega autocross on the airfield of Loring Air Force base in Limestone Maine. Many have you have participated in the past. I know it conflicts with the Slalom at Slemon but for some of you our event may be closer.

There will be a free test and tune on August 4, and autocross events August 5 and August 6

Event Reg for Saturday

Event Reg For Sunday

Hope to see some of you there

Yeah, need to make sure Slemon and Loring don't fall on the same weekend. We had to move Slemon last year because of the Canadian Championships, but Slemon is usually the long weekend in August.

August 11-12th is the Ledwidge Lookoff Rally. Not sure how much crossover there is between Slalom and Rally Volunteers though.

I’m thinking we’ll get near Canadian nationals quality with 2000kms less driving.

Plus head another couple hours to NH after for tax-free booze and Bangor for Harbor Freight. :P

The problem with Loring is the lack of hotel options anywhere in the area.

A few of us from Moncton usually head up, we usually stay at the Caribou Inn, which is about 15-20 minutes away from the site. Some people usually camp on site as well.

Some of you might have seen my videos on facebook, and for those who haven't, I'll post them here too. We did 9 runs on Saturday and 8 on Sunday on two very fast courses.

Last run from Saturday, not sure if it's my best or not

My 5th and best run from Sunday

Fasssttt courses, why do I think that I would have done well here? 8)

Did they use a sweeper truck on the course as it seemed to be uniformly swept in places? Did they drop the green pylon thing? ...Love how the course workers take their cars out to their assigned stations

Are bicycle course walks and competing drivers catching rides in passenger seats still allowed?

Someday, someday I 'll return...

Stacy

Yeah, the green pylon thing has been dropped for a few years now, and we all did a good job at sweeping the course during the competition runs, it started off quite dusty in areas.

Bicycles and ride alongs are still allowed, I think I actually convinced someone to buy a Focus ST after he came out with me. Lol
