Nice runs Shawn.

Sundays course ran 10 seconds longer on average than Saturdays, but my perusal of the results show drivers were better handling the high speed elements on Sunday which resulted in a tighter pax grouping.

I drove only my kart on Sunday, and OMG it was wicked exciting. It is not often you do large parts of an A/X course in 6th gear on a 125cc shifter. Lots of videos being posted on the CMC Facebook page.

Results for both days are up, http://www.cumberlandmotorclub.com/cmc/index.php/results/

God I wish I still had the shifter. Would bring it there for sure. Any videos of your runs in it?

Nice, I did finish first both days. I need to get the Celica a set of tires so I can drop back down to GS. The PAX factor for STC hurts me quite a bit.

I actually didn't get a chance to talk to that fella, he has some sort of after-market exhaust on his car which convinced me to never put one on my car :orglaugh:

And no I didn't take any pics, I didn't have my camera with me

Yes, I am the heaviest of the kart drivers at (247 lbs) and also one of the older ones at 58. Those 2 factors tend to make me slower, but the real thing is that I have not been karting all that long. Slowly but surely I am getting faster. The karts as a group did much better on Sunday once we figured out the gearing and speeds. Jake, the real fast guy is the lightest of the kart group, and the youngest.

Sorry no videos. The guy that runs a helmet cam did not come this year.

Here is a video of a very fast MR2 (the driver does almost as much hand checking as a kart driver would, he was really driving on the edge which is what it took to be fast a top finisher) You can extrapolate from here how much faster the karts were going.
