ASCC will be hosting a Slalom school and Tune and Test on May the 5th at the former Convergys Location in the Power Center in Truro NS. The school / Tune and Test is perfect for beginners and experts alike. People new to autoslalom will be taught the basics while more experienced people can test & tune their vehicles.

Example of the topics covered by the school will be :
• The basic rules in Slalom
• What slaloming is all about
• What to look for while doing your course walk.
• Ride along with instructors

Schedule:

0800-0830: Volunteers are asked to arrive.
Registration and Scrutineering Open All Day
0900: Students asked to arrive
1000: Drivers meeting.
1030: Begin School / Test and Tune
1300: Break
13:45: Resume School / Test and Tune
1600: Start packing up

We will alternate between School and Tune and test run groups.

Entrance fee is $25.00 for the day, but if you want to register for the Regional event on Sunday as well the total event fee will be $40.00. Any first time members of ASCC taking the school and competing in the Regional Slalom the next day will have an entrance fee of $25.00 for the weekend. (Plus the $30 club membership fee)

Please note: Course working is mandatory for anyone participating in the event.

Just a heads up, we will need 12 people pre registered/paid in order to have this. This info came from the ASCC meeting last night.

I am not sure how many people have already pre-registered, but the school is just around the corner, we need 12 participants or this won't happen. Just a heads up.

I know Matt, Jay and Dad are planning on doing the School and event the next day. They were going to do the family membership and sign up at the event because they didn't know how to do the family membership online.

is a helmet req'd for this school. I'm intrested but am lackin in that dept. If anyone had a spare XL(yeah i know big head) that would b wicked.

There should be loaner helmets available on site.

Since this is the first event of the year, could all please arrive early especially those that need memberships. I will be there to take new memberships, but it will help setup and let us get started on time if everyone gets there in plenty of time.
