Concrete has never been friendly to street tires, even the newer crop. Hoosiers are even better on concrete than asphalt, other rcomps vary. NT01s seemed to be no different at slemon than digby, V710s were noticeably worse. I only have RS3s to compare to but my rcomps were always faster during the T&T. If R888s are slower than they are likely heat cycled out.

My last set of rcomps (Eagle RS) were pretty good on concrete, but I still had to bump the pressure to ~39-40psi. And they still weren't any faster than Ben's year old A6s. Hoosiers really are that special sauce.

And Greg, you can flip the BFGs. Someone asked the BFG engineers and they said the carcass/sidewall construction is symmetrical.

That's good to know about flipping them Scott. As soon as i can work up the energy to roll them to the other side of the shop i'll swap em around.

It's interesting you guys mention bumping pressures up for the concrete. I am nowhere near able to feel these sort of things, but i kept dropping my pressures and (maybe coincidentally) got faster. I generally run 28P psi. I ended up at 25psi for my fastest run (that the timer failed on) sunday. The low pressure explains the shoulder wear though

I also found low pressures helped on my NT05s - I normally run 35F/32R and was at 31F/29R by the end of the day on Saturday. Scott, you're probably right on the R888's being toasted.

28psi square for the 225/45R15 Rival S I drove on all weekend... didn't even need to let anything out on Saturday. Sunday, with less/no cloud cover, they warmed up to 30 but were cooled to 28 by the time I ran again.

The car chattered and hopped across the concrete... and fought understeer the whole time. My tires are now worn down to the tops of the B in Bridgestone. The car just sits too high, is not stiff enough, and has no camber to help.

If you're so disappointed with your car, I think it's time you brought the M3 back out to play at regionals!

Win on PAX, or drive a fun car. Tough choice!
