Coming up on a week away ...and we don't quite have the registered numbers that the Nationals do yet

http://www.nbscc.org/p/registrations.html

Note that we don't want your money yet, just an idea of what classes will be filled for prizes and trophies.
BTW there are going to be some unique trophies at our event this year, come claim one!

If you post the registration link and details to the FB event you'll likely get far more pre-regs.

Really? Just 20 entries so far? Atleast 12 of those from NS. Come on folks, this should be a great event! Last year they gave away a car!!!

On this topic, is everyone from NS planning to travel up Saturday evening and stay or make the trek Sunday morning?

Don't worry, it's incorrect.

Thanks for the heads up, sorry you can't make it (But I'm sure we can find you a car if you caught a ride up, assuming it's a mechanical)

Btw spent all day setting up the course and it's probably going to be at least a minute and a half without doubling back so bring your walking shoes!

Stacy

Oh and yes, trucks are allowed that aren't all jacked up, but to try and explain that in the ad with the least amount of words as possible and not have a situation where a newby shows up in a Ford Explorer or something that is iffy ...I thought it best in our city of prevalent monster mudders to air on the side of caution

I was mostly just joking!

I'm planning on being there (not with truck) but didn't preregister - it was a last minute decision.

Thanks to all 51 competitors (exactly the same as last year) that showed up, we were a half hour late getting started due to the large number that weren't pre-registered
...but we finished up on schedule (albeit without proper pax edited class results either due to timing/scoring being overwhelmed)

The tide never came in like expected in the lower part of the course Image
However because of the high water mark from midnight's tide it was thought best to stay away from a potential watertrap at noon but I guess we could have used the better pavement there after all

Congrats goes to Josh in the Honda S2000 for getting FTD and winning the $100 !!!

Thanks for hosting a great event, I had a blast.

It was my first out of town event, and won't be my last.

Thanks for organizing, too bad about the deteriorating lot conditions, that would be an enviable piece of pavement if it was in good shape. Course was interesting, the 90 deg turns off the start and finish were a bit annoying and the overall pace of the course was slow, but seemed to flow decently in the middle.

Any official results yet?

I think it was a great event and a fast, tight, open, flowing, technical, slow course, and I liked it! of course as long as I can get to an event I like it!

There was some tight spots and some slow spots and some spots that I could have gone faster. :) I hear the course was more open then the first year when those poor mustangs almost had to almost stop for some corners :)

We try and use the best parts of the venue and this year we did keep the staging area as small as possible. that is partly why we had 3 run groups. The start ninety is for the fans/spectators. It gives them a chance to see the cars and once you cross the start lights you can drop the hammer and give them a good show. or in my case a good chuckle (side pipes on a mini hahah)

The finish is to protect our timing gear. those heads are not easy to come by on a Sunday afternoon.
The whole event is about balance.
As an organizer we have to balance what the lot owner wants with what the drivers want and provide the community with a bit of entertainment. All of these things keeps us coming back year after year.
As a driver you have to find the fastest line thru the sea of cones, Ask Josh, there was a good line out there. :)

I don't know where the pavement was coming up, I couldn't feel any difference in the mini it was ALL a little bumpy :)

Hope to see you all again at the next one and once again the course WILL be different, that we always promise.
Stay safe and keep er between the lines!

Oh and Steve results have been emailed to Ming and once he verifies them they will be posted as official. I think there is a pic of the white boards somewhere those times are pretty much spot on.

It was definitely a fun event, thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

Something to consider re: protecting the timing gear at the finish - After the last tight left hand turn, it was hard to keep the back end in line on that short straight. The bigger cars really had to slow down a lot to make that turn so there was a push to put as much power down as possible on the exit. The skinny pedal had to be applied gingerly to keep the rear from taking out the timer on the right side.

(Thankfully I ran out of skill a turn earlier and didn't wreck anything )
