2 of the 3 classes I may end up in got hacked. Makes SM look even more appealing.....

I may jump the fence and join the "FTD or GTFO" crowd come spring time....

Not willing to make the commitment needed to make my car competitive in SM. I like my interior and fenders.

Nationally competitive or just locally?

I think my car is close to being SM competitive locally, but I don't get out enough to really drive well enough at the two events I make. I was more speaking nationally and making plans for Montreal in August. That Subaru from Slemon was ridiculous and that will prob be the SM norm up there.

We just put it together on Sunday after the ARMS AGM at the Calendar meeting, I'll get it in digital form by the end of the week so it can be distributed to the clubs etc.

Just for everyone's information, and a bit of an explanation from your VP...

Right now, the Ledwige Lookoff Rally is July 23-24 and ARMS 3 is July 31, the same weekend as CAC. Due to the fact that CSBK moved their date (which is currently not published on their website as they haven't announced it yet, so I'm not going to announce it for them... I don't think they'd appreciate that!) and the fact that both CAC and the Ledwige Lookoff already have their dates set in stone, we had to put the 3rd Race event on one of those weekends.

It was basically a choice between losing most of our race support folks (several marshals, our race director and one/both of our chief course marshals, most of T/S and probably more that i'm forgetting) and a few competitors due to the Lookoff Rally, or losing a few folks (pit exit and s/f) and a few competitors to CAC. Because the performance rally requires a larger volunteer base than a regional car round to make it work safely, I decided that having a regional race on the same weekend of the Lookoff would be really detrimental to both events. This lead to the decision to put the 3rd round on the same weekend as CAC. It's all a bit of a balancing act, and unique to our region, a lot of our volunteer base is spread across most of our disciplines within ARMS, which leads to something like this happening. [read; we need more volunteers in EVERY discipline!]

It's really unfortunate that this is the way the events worked out and I apologize to those that race and also want to compete in CAC, but we just don't have enough weekends in the season! Our focus at ARMS always has to be on events taking place in the region, and at the calendar meeting we have to take into account what works for our regional motorbike fraternity as well. Once CSBK announces their schedule I'll be able to explain to anyone who's curious as to why exactly we can't really move things around, but right now to do that I'd need to tell ya the dates, which I can't until CSBK releases them.

I've been running it around in my head about any way to fix it, but i think what we have is what we have.

All the best, and if anyone has any q's, just fire me an email or a pm and i'll get back as soon as i can!

Thanks, just saved me a bunch of money!

Too bad about the scheduling. Why did the Rally have to push back to July? I take it the CSBK is the "middle July weekend"?

Wow. Race might lose me for the weekend too, and if I race, I wont have any crew as they will be at nationals. Really disappointed with how this worked out. But it is what it is i guess.

It sure would be good to have the rest of the dates for AutoSlalom posted. The calendar fills up faster than my lowly HS times. (cough... Fiesta ST misclassed... cough)

I will post the dates as soon as there set. Maybe a week or 2 before we hear back from every place on dates.
