I'm dishing out excuses already, because I feel I won't do so well at this event...
I'll be coming off my first night shift and will likely only have 3 hours sleep before the event. Then I'll show up, do some runs, then back to bed before my next shift at 630.
No pre registration for me, just In case I don't make it.

Thanks Pidge, Charlotte, Cathy, alan, Joel, and everyone else. It was hot, but a great event. Lots of fun. And my battery died on the way home. Won't charge, so time for a new one.

Great event and a lot of tight competition at this one. Congrats to Ben for coming out of nowhere with that 52.

Oh and Pidge, '91 was the last year for CRX's so I guess I have a rare '95 :-P (Should be '89 lol)

See you all at Scotia on Wednesday.

Congrats on FTD #1 Ben.

Good day. Still not happy about my runs but I helped setup so I can't complain!

Fastest raw time, 53.6something.

Why did the Focus ST beat the S2000 for points in street? I expected S2000 to get 20 and the Focus ST to get 17.

Different class. For the ASCC championship, it is based on class. IE 3 cars in a class gets full points. Winner gets 20, 2nd gets 17, 3rd gets 14, etc. Since the S2000 is in BStock, and only one competitor (him) was in that class, he automatically (assuming he finishes one run) gets 14 points. And, the Focus ST is in GStock, and had two other competitors in his class, he finished first in class, and therefore got 20 points.
However, I do believe you are thinking of the new ARMS points standings, in which case you would be correct in thinking this was wrong, then it is based on pax. ASCC championship is not. I know, very confusing, however, it is a trial year for ARMS, and ASCC decided to see how that works out for them, and maybe next year they will adopt that scoring procedure as well and then there will be much less confusion.

Tightest course yet this year and not normally the style I do well at. Everyone was really close and it could have gone either way.

Thanks to all the volunteer's for making these happen!

It was a tight course. Maybe one were Hoosiers came into play, eh. Congrats to Ben B for his FTD, Mike S for his 4th overall, and Greg S for his 5TH place finish in a BStock car. Also to everyone who came out. 33 competitors made for a great event. Hoping we will see all of you this Wednesday at Scotia Speed World. Should be a great event.

Also for everyone who hasn't registered yet, Please register for the Canadian Auto-slalom championship this week. Deadline is The 25th... This Friday. Should be a great event. No matter the weather. I think there are about 21 registered ASCC members. I think we should be able to put that number closer to 30 by Friday.. Hoping to see close to 100 competitors at the event.

********* We always try to leave the lots we use clean. No garbage. Saturday I picked up a few bottles, and some other assorted garbage. Would love to say it was there before the event but some of it had competitors names on it..... So I ask everyone, new and old to the sport. Please pick up any and all garbage you have/make during the event. ASCC supplies a garbage for everyone to use. We always check the lot after everyone packs up anyway, but i don't really want to touch your trash. Thank you.

This is 100% unofficial but I have been keeping tabs on the ASCC points for the overall. Attached is the top 25.

So what we're saying is...
Image

Just kidding! Honestly, at this point I'm just out to learn how to drive a bit better and take out my desire to squeal tires. That said, I had a ton of fun trying to hunt down that TT.

Thanks again to everybody for making another great event! I hope I'll be able to get out to Slemon, it looks like a really interesting list of cars on the entry list so far...

I was wondering do non-ASCC members qualify to win the ASCC championship or one of the class trophies if they make the required number of events. I am not sure if everyone on Scott's list has an ASCC membership.

I'd like to echo the thanks expressed above by others; that was a fun one. I particularly appreciated the fun runs at the end of the day - it was nice to have another couple of kicks at that setup.

Maybe next time we can do the fun runs first? I knocked 2 seconds off my time! :orglaugh:

Yes they do. They are involved in the ASCC event, so they could. I think a few BAC members have won before.

I know BAC and ASCC have a "free trade agreement" :P , where members of the opposite club can count for the others championship, and it does go both ways, ASCC members have taken home the rally trophy on occasion too. Wasn't entirely sure on the NB members or AFRA though. :?
