My best run. Not used to street tires anymore, especially in terms of stopping distance

Jon, that dirty sweater "Aeropostal", a white one? Seemed like something those kids would wear that had their cars named on their front windshield. So I gave it to the Moncton MMSC van. Maybe Ming can bring it to AMP weekend, or have it hand delivered by a car with a drift charm hanging from the rear bumper

Not a great day for me as I got slower as the day went on. My second run was the fastest since I didn't get kenny:

Damn that run looked smooth Charles.
Had a great time yesterday and it was awesome to meet the NB crew.

Thanks!

It was great to meet so many enthusiastic new faces. The NS contingent certainly gave me some very tough competition :)

It was a fun event and great to see so many non-MMSC cars there!

It was also interesting to run something other than the truck for a change. It really highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of both rigs (and showed how oddly similar they are in a lot of ways).

Sorry I missed the BBQ Mike, I was beat by the time 6:30 rolled around.

It'd be great to see a similar amount of cars come out from NB for AMP this year, no more thanksgiving excuse

I have a fair number of pictures of the second run group. Lots turned out well from what the camera preview looks like. Low sun really brings out the color in the paint.
But, my desktop is not set up for a couple days (moving), so sit tight and maybe I'll post some pictures before the weekend.
Also heard "Roger Flanagan Photography" was on the scene.

Is there somewhere where we can see the results?

The MMSC people only post them to their MMSC site.

But they are there now. :P

Results from MMSC events are on the MMSC web site, which is the proper place for them. It's not my job to post results on other people's web sites.

It's also an ARMS event and should be published on the ARMS forum for the non-MMSC members who also competed to see. More of a nice gesture thing IMO. But hey, it's only my opinion. I didn't even enter.

Here's a link for others wondering how they did:

My best run from the day. Unlike Scott I'm not used to performance tires. Gotta learn how these R-S3s handle a little better

Not bad

"trust the tires"

Learning how far you can push the tires is a challenge, sometimes it takes a crazy balls out run to find how much grip the tires actually have

And sometimes even then you still may not know the limits. I remember Marc M in Slemon one year on new Hoosiers, he told me his sole purpose on his last run was to find the limits, instead he found like 4 less seconds on his already class winning time. :orglaugh:

Here's my fastest run. For a great contrast, watch Geoff, watch Scott, take some dramamine, then watch mine.

(Sorry if mine is upside down, youtube is working on it and it should be fixed shortly)

^This, just.. this

So much body roll..
Also it may be placement of the camera but you appear much more to be on a leisurely cruise around a parking lot then when I watch Scott, Charles, or my videos

I think part of it is the no sound, and part of it is my smoooooooth driving style. Mostly the first part, because if you can see my hands, I make much more sharp and abrupt hand/wheel movements than most of you. It's quite noticeable when I hit the bump stops though, isn't it.

That's entirely possible. I didn't actually realize there wasn't any sound because I watched it on my work computer which doesn't have speakers anyway.

I don't think anyone was saying it is "your job". For the two seconds it takes to post the times it might help new members find them. Given it was an ARMS regional it just makes sense to post results on the ARMS website.

Anyway, here are my runs. As you'll all be able to tell I am no where near as smooth as Charles!

Some more of my fancy wheel work, I one-upped Charles here by not spinning into the cones :p

My best run.. You can see by gearing down at the pin I had a lot more speed than I thought I did going into the leftward sweeper and hit it waaay hot and had to gear down again..... There went the 1/4 second I needed to catch that quick RX8!

I picked up a sweater from the MMSC van. I'll bring it with me to AMP tomorrow.
