Just got confirmation that we can use the Moncton Coliseum for an Autoslalom on September 8th. Pre-registration for the event is open. Pre-register online for $12.50 or $15.00 on-site.

The schedule for the event is as follows:

Registration: 10:30am
Scrutineering: 10:30am
Driver’s Meeting: 12:00pm
First Run: 12:30pm

You can pre-register for the event using MMSC’s online entry form.

You're going to get an unhappy email :orglaugh:

The price is wrong for first-time competitors too, isn't it?

You'd need to buy a membership, so 15 + whatever that costs.

I made a kijiji ad for an event last year (similar to yours) and it turns out that there is an MMSC PR committee (or similar) that is supposed to design and approve anything that appears to be officially from MMSC

I didn't think about it until after I did it (oops :orglaugh: ), but it makes sense
Every random person shouldn't be able to represent the club in an official capacity and "speak for the group"
That said, personally I think the Kijiji thing is a great idea and should be done regularly. When I did it last year there was 450 or so views IIRC

Pretty good turnout for such a crappy day. Despite getting cold and wet, it can be quite satisfying running in the rain. Certainly get to see a lot more unusual attitudes than in the dry. Always seem to learn something.

Here's my second run. Not particularly quick, and the ending was a bit sloppy (can you do an Airport loop from the stop box?). There was a run of water on the course before the stop box, and I knew it was there, but got greedy trying to get a shot into the stop box.

Another run with less rain and more grip.

All in all, lots of fun. Now everything needs a good wash - looks like I've been to a mud bog.

Graham won the battle of Hoosier slicks in the pouring rain :orglaugh:
That is an awesome lot... too bad about the weather
