And it looks like the links don't work except for the classification data base...is someone able to edit those links to work?

So, just a week away, if anyone is planning to enter, let me know. We're trying to plan lunch, and knowing how many people to feed. Plus, if we have enough people to have an event. 1 thus far won't quite cut it. Lol.
Also, looking for marshalls for Friday as well, 5 would be great...thanks!

Unfortunately I'm going to miss this year's event, but I expect to come out next year.

No, no dyno this year. With enough interest maybe we could gear up a dyno day with him? Thanks Ben, we'll see you next weekend. Should be able to see some 18's, maybe 17's out of that beast!

Is there a set of pax(paf) numbers for 2017. The sites I visited show 2016 numbers.

Quote:
3.5 CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES SCORING
.1 Competitors will be scored based on their fastest lap time of the event.
.2 For each event, iPAX points are awarded based on this formula: (Fastest Event IPAX Time ÷ Competitor Fastest IPAX Time) X 100. For the slower tracks, a “Competitor’s Fastest IPAX Time” formula is; (Competitor’s Performance Index(PI) x .0024 + .76024) x Competitor’s Fastest time, E.g. At CTMP DDT a GT3 competitor with a Performance Index of 79.4 x .0024 + .76024 and a time of 97.886 seconds has an IPAX score of 93.070. When compared to the Fastest Event Competitor IPAX score of 92.522, this competitor’s points are (92.522/93.070) x 100 = 99.411. The calculation for the faster tracks (CTMP GP, Calabogie) a “Competitor’s Fastest B IPAX Time uses this formula; (Competitor’s Performance Index(PI) x .0036 + .64036) x Competitor’s Fastest time. Remainder of calculation is similar to above.

Since the Performance Index is unlimited for Open Mod and Mod1 classes, all cars will use a PAX factor of 1.062 or 1.052, respectively, for all tracks

It took me a solid 10 minutes to find this, and even longer to understand it. So in order to score anyone, you have to know their PIP schedule (aka mod points). Then you multiply that by 0.024, and add .76024 to that. Then multiply that by their laptime. That gives you their performance adjusted time.

And people thought autocross PAX factors were confusing...

Just wanted to say thanks to the organizers, marshals, safety staff, and participants. It was my first Time Attack and I had a blast. Great group of people. Hoping all of us will push our friends to get a better turnout for next year. Oh, and Ben: You're going down. That is all. :-P Seriously, congratulations to Ben and Nick. Everyone pushed themselves!

Congrats everyone!
